Robin Van Persie is 23/20 to score at anytime today wtih VC. I think he should be odds on and is with the majority of bookies. No Rooney so he will be the main striker and I imagine he'll be on penalties too. Might be worth an interest.
Sorry not been keeping up with the thread as much (it moves so fast!) so not sure where we are in terms of bet sizing.
I guess we'll only be on if others agree so I'll leave it to them to suggest stakes.

Thanks.

Wow - he is as low as 8/13 in some places.

Think I might take a flyer, & try & get on at 23/20 before it goes.

£40 sound reasonable?
Sounds good to me.

Is it that mental that they put a value on a player and decided not to pay more than that?
They gambled that they were the only club he would go to and therefore would get the price they wanted if they waited. That wasn't the case but at least they haven't overpaid. This window has shown that they aren't going to throw a load of money again like they did with Kenny. A longer term plan this time. Small steps.
Probs how I'd want my club run.

Seems that it was successful in getting rid a bit of deadwood and saving some money. Only really a striker short. Give Klasnic a call.

Disagree with the view that Newcastle put up any sort of a fight against Chelsea. They looked pretty rubbish imo but they were impressive against spurs. Agree with red. They are the better team. We know they are pretty good, we know villa are pretty bad. Loads of people will have them on their coupon but I don't think it's value.

carroll was silly

i will say it now i have massive doubts rhodes will even score 15 goals a season at championship level yet alone premiership
Overs this season please. The lad can finish.
If the clauses only kick in after promotion then he'll be paying for himself.

How much do people think Liverpool could get for :

J. Cole - 0
J. Henderson - 15mil
C. Adam - 2mil
S. Downing - 13mil
J. Spearing - 500k
A. Carroll - 15mil

chelsea appear to have agreed a fee for falcao

wow that really will give them a chance this season cracking striker
Is this true?
He's abso incred. I said they should have gone for him at the start of the summer as Atletico were the only team that would probably still value Torres quite highly.
Torres now looks to be getting hotter so adding Falcao would be tasty.

Any thoughts about Sheffield Wednesday being 2012/13s version of Peterbrough?

Overs have been punted again tonight I see.

Yeh can see it. We just attack and don't worry about the D!

Adam Johnson is pretty overrated. Got a fair amount of talent but not got the brain to use it. Not often he picks the best option available to him.

Think Fletcher is decent, maybe slightly overpriced but you're paying for goals. Probably a lazy signing as their must be somebody out there that can get the goals for less but it's not horrible.

Jarvis is overpriced. Amazed at the difference in fees between him and Kightly. I'd rather try and get an untested Championship winger than pay the big fee for him. Plenty have made the step up and not struggled. Pilkington, Dyer, Sinclair, Jarvis, Kightly. Get them before they cost a shed load imo.
