people complained, some wouldnt buy extra chips etc but they carried on with it.
maybe it had something to do with the runners going from 60/80 on afriday night for the £20 rebuy to about 20/30 now , prob a few other factors contribute to numbers fall but imo it didnt help as the prize pools deff became smaller.
they kept saying they were gonna use it for new tables etc

torquay casino (genting) have had this set up in play for almost 2 years. for extra £5 you got extra 1000 chips in all comps.this money DIDNOT go into prize pool,
killed the prize pool in 30/40 runner £10/£20 rebuys. £10 tournet doesnt even run now, they have stopped it at the moment tho.

i would imagine if the updaters did a quick scan of the chips on the tables now most of the players will have the biggest chips at the bottom.

it's really tilting when you get faced with a decision and snap think "I'm going to do X" you then take a minute to think about it, can't really find a good enough reason to do X but you really want to because it feels right, even though it makes little sense to be right!

So you do the "sensible thing" and it turns out your snap instinct WAS right and you knew it but still can't really explain why, now you're way more tilted than you would have been if you'd just rushed into an incorrect decision lol
^^^this is sooooo right, had it happen last night, wish i had read this first .

1393  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Interesting ruling tonight. on: March 12, 2012, 08:58:18 PM
killing a hand shown or verbally anounced  is deff not the practice in all galas.
last night a player in the tourney at bristol gala shown his hand before calling an all in, was allowed to stand, was told he would be penalised if done again.
later on same player did same thing, no penalty.
on final table a short stack moves in, gets 2 callers , one the same player they then both turned there hands over (with chips in play between 2) saying we will check it down, ruling called both hands still live lol what afarce.
