Monty, what's the first thing you look for when you "snap OPR" someone?

I generally look for a couple of things which may or my not be easily available these days depending on opt ins etc...

I generally look for a combination of profit/loss, ABI and amount of tournaments played. I will usually have a quick gander at largest cashes as well.

If I had looked him up in this instance I would have shoved...

Unfortunately being highly ranked on P5's doesn't necessarily mean big profits, especially when you play a good amount of volume like Marc does...

For instance I reached my highest ranking ever a couple of weeks ago and was still in $5K of makeup or so...

Yeah I obviously made a mistake with ranging the caller properly and should have double checked OPR etc before making decision...

Gonna fall back on being results orientated though as a decent backup plan lol

Won one of my biggest ever pots tonight and my goodness was it due. Here's the hand history for the archives.

I'm winning a small amount in the £1/2 game, which has recently become pretty lively. I open under the straddle to £11 with , which gets flatted in three spots and is juiced up from the big blind to £45. He has me covered, and it's getting towards the end of the night, and I have AK out of position, and I never win pots with AK and I'd just like to book a winning session for a change, and I can't flat with three behind me, and a ton of miserable stuff that goes through my head when I'm about to stick in the 4ball. I count out £112 playing another £367 behind. Just as I slide it over the line, the announcement comes over the tannoy "your next three hands are your last three hands of the evening." At this point I see the "fuck it" expression of the first caller. He moves in for £136. Phil folds and Kurt calls. The 3bettor calls and I flick it in obviously. Least successful re-iso in history.

Flop (£548)

The 3bettor leads out for £120 and I move in. The other player folds and he calls.

Turn (£1282)

River (£1282)

We're good against the fuck-it shove from , and we somehow hold against the to scoooooooop.

This is my reward for getting out of bed and actually putting a session in when all I really wanted to do was stay firmly stuck to my mattress and drink Beechams.

53  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Poll: Start times for DTD Two Day events on: August 17, 2012, 11:09:21 AM
I voted for 2pm though if I am going to play an event I am going to play regardless of the start time.

I prefer the 2pm start though because of the advantages of finishing earlier and then having the choice of being able to play cash, socialise or to be able to get a decent amount of sleep in before returning to DTD the following day.

Show one, show all. The dealer should be managing that one and taking control.

Should but rarely do...

One situation that really tilts me is when I have called a bet on the river and the opponent shows half the table his cards but then refuses to show me his hand or claim/concede the pot...

Situations like that I personally think its fine to insist he shows his cards...
