this situation came up again last night, $100 re buy feeder,i have no intention of re buying, blinds 30/60, i have only 1050 chips, i have not saw anything in game , then
in middle pos, all fold to me i raise to 180, s/b only caller he has 1800
flop
, dont like the flop but not to worried ,he checks so i make it 450 expecting a fold, he calls
turn is
, he moves all in quick as a flash, ive found a quick all in on a board like this is small pair semi bluff a lot of the time, i am not dead if he has straight or flush, as i have the flush draw myself,i only have 500 left and think i committed my self already. so make the call , he turns over
, ive made a good call , river is
he hit his straight, and i am gone, thats ok, i think my bet bet on the flop was got me into trouble, i didnt give him the odds to call a draw and i want to get some chips so i wanted a call but didnt mind the fold,
but i am commitiing my self to the hand and after all its still only a pair, whats your opinion, is it best to just end the hand and move all in after the flop, or bet a decent ammount and take a risk and get some chips
In my view you put him in the position to push with a pair of 9's. With a check after the river he put you on nothing so pushed. U made the right call, but from what Ive picked up in my short poker playing is put the decison on him. Maybe he still would have called with his pair, but your putting him in the position of making the decision.
sos if basic..........
