i will openly admit I would have probably called be it a crying call. Then again I would probably have led the flop anyway and done even more chips.

the speach play by the guy was truly awful though when he said he wouldn't show then suddenly said Ok I will show. That gave away his hand but I wouldve already called by then I think.

great laydown by roberto but the play at bolton by praz v mick fletcher was probably one of the best I've seen (I was on the rail after another early exit). I was chatting to tikay when the play went off and it was so sick it was untrue. He had to have the hand the way the action went then he showed the fresh air and it certainly bothered fletch and slowed him down. He didnt seem to want to play too many pots with praz after that.

to think a player who says he runs at 40/100 in 6 handed nl cash games over 12k hands needs any insturction whatsover is laughable.

I am still struggling to believe that figure can be acheived by any legal method- thats either one hellova heater you are sat on or you are using something nobody else knows about.

41/400 hands imo is more than hot. I could understand over a few hundred hands but over 1000s??? get in touch with some betfair regulars through the betfiar forum and see if you can get more tracker info.

the only exception to the above would be if his surname was grundy, thew or channing then 41/100 is probably running a little cold.

push with any 2 if you are opening the pot into seat button.

Fold AT EP every time. wait for other shorties to double up or go broke. Only get your chips in when you absolutely have to now you have let yourself go so low. 6bbs is not a panick point at the bubble in sats- I have seen plenty seats won with less than one bb. It is better to ante away than stick in in with any ace when you have 2bbs left as you know you are going to get multiple callers- tis better to pray someone else manages to go broke before you.

woman v old man- woman wins because old man gets distracted easily by thoughts of trains etc while woman doesnt have a handsome man in front of her to distract her. Is she was to play a young handsome type I am sure she would lose though Wink

in deauville a few years back he sat on my table for quite a while with 2 french blokes constantly chattering away in french and discussing hands against the english bastards etc. He didnt say a word until one told his mate he was going to make a move and try and bluff tony. He called and then in french informed the cheating frenchman where the rail/bar was which was highly amusing (tony has a french wife and obviously speaks very good french).

we all thought it was funny anyway

Russ, you live in bloody Bolton, why arent you down there cheering him on ?

wasnt there at the start and he was chip leader at the first break. No way am I being blamed for being the bok if I turn up as he gets his aces cracked. I did pester raab to run womblecam though so we could watch his flair play more closely Wink

he has to get down below 20k before the evening finishes. He never comes back for a day 2 with more than 20k and I doubt he will sleep before saturday if he has a nosebleed stack.

just spoke to him on the break and he has said he is going to open up with his bigstack. He is extending his range to include KK and maybe even QQ  if in position (only if he is feeling like a gamble obviously)

on a serious not I remember the first time we went to vegas many moons ago and sat in a cash game. A standard american tourist raised round the back with womble reraising from the button. the yank stated he was obviously making a move and reraised allin sigh. Womble made a brave call with unsuited aces and the american reloaded. About 17 hours later womble played his next hand again reraising the american- the american says he knows for sure he is trying it on this time and again pushes and states how unlucky he is to have walked into aces again when he is snap called.

moral of the story- when a rock reraises you and you dont have the nuts, he does.
