91  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: What would be the call in your Card Room? on: October 08, 2008, 09:43:21 AM
if a player acts out of turn it is binding unless there is an aggresive action before him. The guy now bets so the player has the option of calling allin or folding. The guy who has bet and turned his hand over (clearly a mistake as he thinks he is calling the bet) is the one who could get a penalty for exposing his hand (would be harsh but thats what most sets of rules say). Even though its the other guys fault for betting out of turn then he isnt penalised in fact he has got the benefit of seeing the other guys cards before deciding what to do.

i think its about time he sorted out a new ISP. The customer service he is getting on his current one obviously isn't up to much.

I'm awaiting the next P4A (poker 4 andy) event where 23% of every buyin goes towards a new broadband connection and new PC.

final table feed (couple of minute delay before anyone uses it for betting).

http://wsope.betfair.com/live-video/live-video.html

give it a couple of minutes after it starts and the echo does disappear on the sound.

if someone raises behind that the chips stay in the pot counting as a call ( and any remaining chips count as a bet in the dark on the flop assuming the KK doesnt reraise which is now his option. If the KK reraises then the chips still stay in the pot counting as a call although if he has to make up any difference he has the option of folding for the extra but must leave those chips in the pot...also if he doesnt have enough chips out there to cover the reraisers call he has the option of making up the difference or folding but leaving the current chips in the pot). This should penalise the numpty enough.

Betfair will have in running odds throughout, currently they are worse than Bluesquare but later on will be worth a peek.

Little hint for anyone in London, the in running odds are usually based on the live updates, if you can get to the empire and rail the event, you can potentially make a few bob before snoops and co post the latest bustouts. Thats obviously borderline insider trading, but what the heck.

Such a tough final table to predict, I kinda want Demidov to do it just because it would be huge for the november 9 thing. Bengt Sonnert is deffo the most underated player at the table, just a shame he has no chips really. Im torn between the two Russians and obv negreanu and Juanda. I guess we should all be routing for Keston but the sod knocked me out of the PartyPoker European Open (thinly veiled ive played on tv post IMO).

anyone who underrates bengt is a fool. One of the best players in the world and certainly one of the biggest winners over the last few years but has been off the scene thanks to some personal problems. I said to blue square they made a rick with the 12-1 and said if he won his first hand he was a certainty for top 2 and the favourite to win.

tricky one but If I was td I would leave the chips there and tell player b that the initial raise is a min raise which he has now called, the remainder of the chips in front of player a counts as a bet in the dark on the flop. I would then give player a (the plonker) a warning and if he does anything similar again he would get a one or two round penalty.

player a will not have the option of taking any of the chips back they all go on the flop so player b is not at any disadvantage.

market also just formed on betfair with every price on offer shorter than blue squares prices to show the prices done by blue square are a bit big. They will be ammended before the start Im sure.

sonnert is a ridiculous price, I would rate him above every player at the table even the "names"

a few questions for the flushmeister plz

1) who do you rate out of the "circuit pros", how many would be long term winners in MTT's online?
2) what gets your heart pumping more? sex or making a massive bluff?
3) if worst comes to worse who are the 3 players from the uk circuit who you wouldnt want to play for your wages?
4) 1st hand of the sunday million you are UTG with AJo do you raise?
5) how many tournes behind me were you on tribeca?

and would you prefer doing 2 on 1 or 2 on 3? (massive bluff that is obviously not the other).

So when will Dubai be on Sky Poker?

seconded
104  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Very funny! on: September 16, 2008, 08:54:19 PM
Geo i have never watched a Sky Poker show but as i understand it the aim is not really to educate you in becoming a better player, if you want that then there are plenty of instructional sites.

The idea i believe is to make a fun show so people play the game, i have only been to the studio once and the show we did was very much aimed at comedy/entertainment rather than coaching.

P.S. Matt is a legend.

On that we agree.

Tonight, the Legends that are James Browning & Norman Pace, will be joined by myself on "Unlimited", so fire those questions in. And I'll get Norm & James to answer them, while I may just pontificate on the merits of J-T in the Blinds to a late Pos Raise, whilst playing shallow. That's shallow shallow, not Dubai.

Please please please get Dubai on Sky Poker.

+1
