My order of preference so far.

1) MGM Signiture - Junior Suite was great.
2) Venetian - Nice rooms but doors slam shut and can be very noisy, once upgraded suite was very nice.
3) Caesars Palace.
4) Orleans. Very nice rooms for one of the cheapest hotels.
5) MGM Grande
6) Luxor
7) Las Vegas Hilton
8 ) Palms
9) Plaza - Redic cheap in the Winter but a dive.
10) Saharra - The carpets will send you mad.
11) Excaliber - Where the Trailer park goes on their summer hols.

I guess most of these will be above budget for OP but as I a taking my wife this year I am looking to upgrade.
Was thinking Caesars. What was your experience there like?

I think you could get something reasonable for that amount particularly if thats £ not $. Some further details of what you are looking for may help. Are you thinking hotel or apartment?

I have been 5 times and always stayed in hotels but if I was there for a month I would be looking into renting somewhere if possible. Not sure how feasible this is though.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Most agree that folding pre was the better play and I thought this myself - but only after making the call Sad

For the record he tanked for ages and called with AQo, no flush draw.

On hindsight I agree folding pre was the best play. I did sense weakness after the flop and thought he was on a draw or didn't like the Ace as he had 1010 or JJ etc.

Views please.

£20 + 1 rebuy/add on. 5000 chips starting stack. 20 minute blinds. 174 runners. £2000 added by Gala.

Blinds are 1k/2k. I have c40k. Villan as slightly more. About 65 players left in with several sitting on short stacks. I have not long moved table so have limited information on this player. He hasn't been very active.

Villan min raised in mid position. I have  in late position and flat call.

Flop  Two Diamonds

He checks, I bet 7k. He thinks for over a minute and calls.

Turn  three diamonds

He checks again. I shove the rest (about 30k)

General comments welcome but particularly -  what range would you put him on post flop?

"Whatever your game and whatever your bankroll, the 2010 WSOP schedule offers something for everyone,” said WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel, who will oversee the event for the fifth consecutive year.  "We are planning for the largest WSOP ever and look forward to welcoming all players to the Rio in Las Vegas next summer."

The entire convention center of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino will be exclusively dedicated to the 2010 World Series of Poker for the first time, with tournament tables in the 58,000 square foot Pavilion and the 38,000 square foot Amazon Room.  The final number of tables in play is subject to regulatory approval, given just prior to the tournament commencing.

Player comfort is also being addressed by new rules regulating the daily amount of play.  Excluding the Main Event, gold bracelet tournaments will begin at 12 noon and 5 PM Pacific Time each day, with a maximum of 10-one hour levels being played for the noon starts, while the 5 PM events playing a maximum of 8 one-hour levels.   Day 1 play is expected to conclude at 12:45 AM for noon starts and 2:45 AM for the 5 PM starts.  For those advancing past the first day, re-starts for noon bracelet events will be at 2:30 PM, and 5 PM tournaments will restart at 3 PM, with a maximum of 10 levels being played each day until a champion is crowned.  The Main Event features two-hour levels and play begins at 12 noon each day.

Does this mean no more "poker convention" next door to the poker room? I was hoping to renew my free T-shirts collection from 2006. Some of them need a good wash now and it would be so much easier to get new ones.

In addition, a complete array of satellites, from single-table to mega, will be offered beginning from May 27-July 8. Nightly No-Limit Hold’em tournaments will be offered from May 27-July 4 at 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

All winners will be required to provide a valid picture ID. Tax forms will be completed for those with winnings in excess of $5,000 net of event buy-in. Players without a Tax Identification Number and foreign players from non-tax treaty countries are subject to up to 30 percentage tax withholding. WSOP reserves the right to cancel, change or modify the tournament or any tournament event, in part or in whole, without notice.

Can someone please explain this as I heard you had to claim this back upon return to the UK.
Planning to win way more than the $5,000 threshold.  Grin

Reads on the flight crew are crucial in these spots.

ahahahahhah

If things go wrong seriously wrong in Jet, gg.
If things go seriously wrong in a prop, no worries.

+1

Having had a few flying lessons in a 2 seater Cessna I would say you are way safer if things go wrong in the prop plane.
However you could argue that the chance of something going wrong in the first place is greater  Shocked
