I was a regular at gala going almost daily for a year before i moved away from notts and i am a little surprised that ken has been into DTD because i remember him saying openly on more than one occasion about the resistance gala is putting up to it and made it clear that he didnt want to see it open.

Not everyone at gala notts was a cheat but there were a few and im glad to have seen the back of them. However, i met a lot of good friends from there who i will stay in touch with for a long time and look forward to making my way up to DTD to see these guys again. It will make a huge difference to a lot of them in notts now theres an alternative to gala. It seemed to me that the main issue with gala was that one or two customers seemed to have the management bending over for them and were able to influence decisions about the place.

Well done to rob and everyone else at dtd

i dont think a true friend would act like this.

unfortunately there are plenty of these sorts of people in casinos and the poker community who are only happy for people when they win so that they can 'nip' them etc

Benyamine is comparatively less wealthy than the rest? Seemed to be what Laliberte was implying

Laliberte was sympathetic that the players are in a little over their heads and didnt mind doing a deal cos he didnt wanna hurt benyamine. think he woulda done the same for anyone else but benyamine definitely is no less rich than anyone else on the table really
15642  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: High Stakes Poker gone even madder!! Episode 15 on: November 21, 2007, 08:39:34 PM
i actually have difficulty taking this show seriously. is the money real? who knows.

You can find an answer to your question if you have a look at David Benyamine's face when you see Laliberte turn over his for 2 pair and knows he's a big underdog in the biggest pot of his life!

Also i think youtube now removed the links. anyone know a link for episode 14?

2. Esfandiari plays like scared money? Or is that too harsh?

agree 100%, he seems very very nervous when in any hand no matter what he's holding.

also, are Jamie and Sammy actually good friends outside of the game (?) because there is no way he shoulda let him go when he knew he was calling. I think Gabe got it wrong when he said Sammy was a bit nervous when the ten paired etc... Sammy knew Gold had kings or queens.

Hi guys, nice to finally be a member and able to post after about 6 months of using the site every day.

Keen to know what people thought about it as it makes a change from my normal routine of just playing poker to go and watch a play...about poker. wouldnt have it any other way.
