Trying to withdraw via Neteller and getting this message "Sorry, but in order to withdraw using NETeller you must give account ID or first make deposit using this method. Thank you."

Well I have made previous deposits and withdrawals using Neteller and my Account ID was filled in.

Any ideas?

Why repossesion if these are not loans that you have to secure on a property?

Is this not a bung me £50 the now to put the heating on and I'll give you back £65 at t'end of the month? I don't own hee-haw but I do have a job sorta jobby. Can't really compare it to a long term personal loan in terms of the APR (which they make pretty clear, only have to click once from their home page to see the rates in a large clear table)

wp if you're never going to be in this position yourself but I know a lot of peeps are and don't think it's too scandelous a buisness considering what the bank would charge them for an unauthorised overdraft. These aren't misery mongers imo

Yes its so difficult to operate profitably at these loan sizes and durations, the admin costs alone would be £10 per loan before you include anything to cover defaulters.

Why don't they want winning players on there?  It's not like you win off the company, you win off other players and you pay more rake, surely winning = good for the company?

(prob been answered but I've not read the whole thread, cliff notes as to why it's bad would be appreciated)

Its because winning players don't deposit (or at least they withdraw far more than they deposit) so even though they are paying rake, they are paying it with money taken off the fish that do deposit.

A poker room can never make more income than whats deposited, so the ideal situation would be for a few big fish making large deposits and then passing the money round each other until its all gone in rake. A winning player making regular withdrawals means that the poker room has to get a higher level of deposits to make the same amount of money.

In economics it works the same as Money Supply Theory with Rake being the equivalent of Tax and Withdrawals being the same as Savings.

Next issue is going to be the last, its a shame as it was my favourite poker mag. Existing subscriptions are being converted to Poker Player Magazine.

Although books help with learning poker, nothing beats watching the video sessions on sites like card runners, where a pro will talk you through every hand.

Thanks for all your comments, its amazing to be a parent for the first time. The hard part comes next, wondering which cry means what, which one means i'm hungry, which is raise and which is fold. I can't wait though, just wish we had done this years ago.

Well good news at last.

Working at home today I hear some scumbags breaking in next door, I see them run down the hill arms full of stuff towards a whit transit van.
I say to myself "I am getting that registration number".
I make a beeline for the top of the road and cut them off at the pass, surreptitiously getting the reg number as they go past, so that they don't twig they have been rumbled.
Pass the details onto the police and they trail the van, noting where they stop and nicking the lot of them.
They are now in custody facing multiple charges of burglary.

I just hope the courts give them a decent sentence, apparently a few of them have previous.

http://www.boogie.demon.co.uk/allstars.html

2nd paragraph in
"Membership of this elite collaboration is by invitation only"

So in other bands, how does it work, do you just show up one day to practice and say...

"arright guys, fuck you, I'm the new drummer and we're going to start playing Abba covers."

Then they'll think, goddamit, we should have put on our website that membership of this band is by invitation only like those crafty British Blues All Stars.

As oppose to Jazz where everyone plays what the hell they want.
