You cant put CL qualification in a trophy cabinet, as a gooner you should know the stick that has been used to beat Wenger with is the lack of silverware, surely thats what the game is all about , winning things no?!!!!
I am simply stating what I as a fan would prefer, I'm not attacking or defending anyone here. MBN to be an Arsenal supporter right now though Ralph. By far the best team to watch in the Prem at the minute. In wenger we trust!!

lol, but Downing is good in a way because net versus Torres he only cost -£30m
True. If we use this logic they could have signed me for -49.99999m. I'd only want 10k a week too. Silly Kenny G2L would score more than Torres too lol

It's just too complicated a way to look at it.
Not sure how much Arsenal spent in the close season but only the money spent on Arteta improved us from where we were at the point they were bought. So more was spent badly than well, had it been spent better we would be better.
Dalglish doesn't demonstrate better credentials to be able to pick players and improve the team cause Torres went for £50m rather than £20m - it's really not complicated and net spend means next to nothing
Are you forgetting the Ox, he's been a terrific aquisition? I'm old :-) I understand In fact I reckon that if Kenny had invested the £15M in the Ox rather than spend that and £5M more on Downing he might well be considered Anfield's new messiah, oh wait.... The ox is probably buy of the season!!

Time to sack the king?
He's having problems at the moment, but like I've said all along he'll get three seasons at least to get the club challenging again. The new signings haven't bedded in anywhere near as well as expected, with the exception of Jose Enrique (who had his worst game in a red shirt last night). There's some bad luck there, but obviously some blame goes on the manager and Comolli as well as the players themselves. Henderson's attempt to defend the corner which Derry scored from was absolutely pathetic. Honestly think it's the first time Derry has won a header in the oppositions box since he's been at QPR. Enrique's attempt to clear for the last goal was comedy obviously, but an individual miskick is forgiveable. A complete lack of effort and bottle defending a corner isn't forgiveable imo. Derry's first goal in 5 years, that shows how bad the defending was lol

I'd agree with Tony. I think Torres will get much more game time and Tevez will mostly be used as sub. Slightly offsetting the increased gametime, Tevez may benefit from City being likely to score more goals than Chelsea.
Remaining games
Tevez Torres Stoke (a) Spurs (h) Sunderland (h) Villa (a) Arsenal (a) Wigan (h) West Brom (h) Fulham (a) Norwich (a) Arsenal (a) Wolves (a) QPR (h) Man Utd (h) Liverpool (a) Newcastle (a) Blackburn (h) QPR (h)
I'm missing 1 Chelsea game (due to FA Cup commitments?) and I'm not sure who it is against but it will be a home game. I think I'd prefer Torres fixtures. Off the top of my head 8/13 Torres, 13/8 Tevez?
Excellent post
