and we're back.......
Who is your money on now?
No idea - but after the way Jamie battled on from having virtually no chips, I'd be tempted to put a quid on him. Great updates and a fab live feed again today Rich

I've almost decided to start taking a daily dose of Aspirin. Not to cure any ailment, but more & more I become convinced that it is really a clever & useful thing. It's gone in & out of fashion more times than enough - it's good for you, it's bad for you, dum de dum - but on balance, & as with everything, all things in moderation, it might just be the greatest. There was a great piece about it on the wireless last night - it was first patented by Bayer, of all peeps, back in 1890 something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AspirinI hear that cod liver oil is good for you, too. Will you be taking any of that? Nothing cod liver oil could do would induce me to take it. Does it really come from the livers of Cod? Why not from the livers of haddock, or skate, or herrings? They sell it in little tablets now. I take it in a combined Calcium/Cod liver Oil pill, although I don't know whether the stuff actually works or not. Is it supposed to have restorative powers? Nah, just maintain supple bones and joints and that sort of nonsense. My left shoulder joint is pretty much F'ed but this seems to help..though it might just be excersise. Who knows, some scientific studies claim that cod liver oil helps and the calcium thing is supposed to be good as well..... it can't hurt I guess. Cod liver oil isn't pure cod liver oil in most tablets, someimes there is shellfish in amongst other goodies too so it's worth checking labels for anything you could be allergic to. One of the latest varients of cod liver oil tablets contain Glucosamine which helps to maintain a healthy heart, circulation & connective tissue (cartlidge & joints). The Glucosamine variety are more expensive but are supposed to give more benefits. I find them better personally as I don't taste the oil all day after having one and they do help with my creaky knees and less than perfect circulation due to years of nicotine abuse!

Tikay you legend!!!!!
Thankyou from ALL of TKP for wearing our top on the telebox
Brilliant!!! Our FB page is lighting up ;oD
xx
+1 From another member of TKP (we try to add a little fun to the game) who usually only has time to usually read and lurk on forums, and sometimes rail on the final tables too if I can stay awake! Also I'm well chuffed you are enjoying the book, I was hoping that you would. It was fab to meet Mondo & Tighty at SPT too, true legends imo and dear Laxie, I watched you play so well the other night until the discon & was gutted for you. Thanks Shaz. The book is awesome, deffo already in the 2011 Top Ten, & it's only January. I'll read 50 or more books this year, but few more attuned to my mind than that. You chose well. I actually suspected you must have asked around as to what book I'd like, which was, I suppose, an uncharitable thought. Did you see the Show last night? You were one of the "My Name is"! We can, in the Studio, only SEE the interviews in the breaks, not hear them, so I don't know what you said, but you looked very confident, & very well. So, no excuses not to get yourself to Luton now.....They are a mostly grand bunch of folks down there, & they'd all make you very welcome. Diary note - Orford & LML will be there with me on the 25th - be there! I have so many "thank you" notes to do about Newcastle, & so many other PM's, mostly Sky Poker-related, to do, here & next door, please excuse my tardiness, the pile is so big I can't bear to face it. The Laxie disconnect thing, yeah, very sad. Put me in a very tricky spot, too. I tried to choose my words carefully, I had both a personal & a business position, but despite my best efforts, I caused some inadvertent upset to a very special friend. (Not Laxie). Low point of the week, that. Laxie took it splendidly though, exactly as expected. Tough kid, her. It may surprise you Tikay but no the book was totally my idea, I know how you loved Concorde and went on a hunt for a definitive book on the subject and got sidetracked as you often do onto other planes. I used to go to school next to a Hawker Siddeley components factory in Farnworth, Lancashire and remember when the Harrier came out, what an awesome beast and thus was diverted in that direction and found Sir Stanley's book. For my sins my first job when I moved south was on a little tiddly airfield as a buyer/Quality Assurance for parts for a microlight company where I was sent up randomly on the new builds just to keep me on my toes and make sure I was doing my job correctly! Yes I saw the my name is! I was talking to SkyMandy in the big game chat box and she forewarned me, we had already met via e-mails as it were and along with RichO collaborated on stitching up Ed on Disastermind on the Primo show and she told me I was in for a surprise - for surprise read gobsmacked - I had no idea they had clocked, nevermind recorded you walking over at the end - it has to say the least, along with Disastermind and TKP made my year so much better after finding out about my impending redundancy - so thank you very much, I've been walking around with a grin on my stupid face since Newcastle. As for Luton, even if we don't qualify Hoggers and I have been chatting and already decided we'll both be there, I'll never get as skinny as LML by then even following the Tikay diet but the thought of Hoggers in a red dress is slightly mindblowing, but I'm hopeful we will come up with something and if not we'll still have a great time and it will be nice to meet even more old faces from the tables. I'm really surprised about the reaction to your post about the disconnection, I read it and all I read into it was a *big hug* from a friend which I'm sure you would do for a few people, I know I'm a bit naive in many things but still, I find that sad. I think sometimes it mbn to be Tikay and other times I think it mbc too...chin up Sir, well loved you are by many. -xXx-
