Playing a local donkament down under, equlivent to UK pub poker!

Blinds are 1000/2000 i have 20k in chips down to 10 players top 5 get paid with $400 for 1st place (which i could really of done with winning!)

Im dealt    and limp in and see a flop with just the BB

Flop      BB bets 2000 and i flat it.

Turn  Bingo card for me and the BB bets out 4000 i weigh up what to do and push all in for a futher 9k ( I didnt put him on a FH or Bigger Flush but was hoping he had trips)

BB tanks for 2 minutes and the calls flipping over      WTF!! hes shouting 9!!! and 6!!!

River  OBV!! Fck my life!! Great call sir!!

The old saying is 'You pay to learn' and its his money to what he wants with! I wouldnt feel guilty about taking anybodys money because they certainly wouldnt care if they took mine! Its clear to see that his GF doesnt like him playing and i would find it hard to play with somebody watching over me and was scared if i lost money i couldnt afford to lose! If he couldnt afford to lose it then thats his own fault!

What did the others have to say about you scaring the fish away from the tank??

What a bizarre evening that was.

Somehow managed to turn a £100 starting stake in to £11.5k peak. Gave a bit back and walked out with £9k for an £8700 profit. (It's 9 bags Alex!)

Don't know how it happened just an unbelievable run of luck!!

I'm now fully staked up for some decent poker tourneys over the next few months. GUKPT here I come!!

Anyone fancy a bet as to how long it takes me to spunk the lot up the wall?  Grin

Well you spunked off £2.5k in what little over 3-4 hours? im saying a week max!! be wise and let somebody save it for you and buy into a GUKPT like you said!
7763  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Heres one for the Rebels .. BOUNTY COMP on: June 13, 2008, 08:39:35 AM
I have to wait for a batch of orders otherwise we get stung for small orders .. makes the cost prohibitive.

I could get screen printed fruit of the loom for pennies, but I prefer to give shirts that last more than one wash Wink

Next order will go off at the end of the month, so all those that are awaiting one will get theirs towards end of July.

NO BOLT ... THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE YOU !!

dont forget mine Kev. Cheers.

Or mine Kev

Great Article! Always nice to read anything about Daniel Negreanu as he is one of the nicest players in the game with the ability to read his opponents and make awesome laydowns! Good Work snoopy.

Girgy is getting owned so hard
lol.

No one in their right mind who had any game would want to create a €10K 'saver' for the bubble spot as it loses them soooooooo many chips which can be picked up during this 2hours of bubble time, giving another prize eliminates 2 hours of nittiness from most opponents.  why would you want to do that when u can sit there and chip up for 2 hours with no showdowns!

In regards to 'creating another bubble', i think girgy means when they get to the bubble they propose the idea.  So it wouldnt actually make anohter bubble, but would NEVER been done for the aforementioned reasoning.

ducy?

thats what i was hinting at but yes i do see your point in nobody who is chipped up wants the bubble to bust! i was just making a comment!

At the risk of joining in your battle (i dont want to but I do have an hour to wait before 21 starts at the pictures PRE WSOP VEGAS FIX)

If you give 10k to 82nd place then oyu just create a slow down with people waiting for the Hand for hand at 82nd, the only way round this would be the "ludicrous" (IMO) suggestion of 9k 83rd 8k 84th 8k 83rd and so on but the point been if your only playing to get ur buy in back u shouldnt be playing that level.

Also many pros use the bubble as chip accumaltion by picking on the small stacks (all part of the Game)

Any way im sure moffsy has explained this whilst i have been typing it

1. im not battling with anybody, i just made a post to suggest you could brake the bubble if u offered the next person out their money back!
B. you wouldn't get 82nd placing hanging around because not all bubbles take 2 hours to burst!
3. I also know that the bubble is the best time for big stacks to accumalte chips but is also the time where lots of short stacks double up from the big stacks!
and
4. its just my Oppinion!!!

how is it? the previous player went out over 2 hours ago! i take your point! the bubble is there for a reason but sometimes its logical just to say this is getting a joke and in effect burst the bubble by offering the next player out his/her money back! Nobody wants to grind it out for 3 days to bubble!

Ha ha..I may be going out on a limb here but..right now I place you as a player that makes a ghey raise(min raise) holding Aces pre, with 5 limpers in front, only to sit and whine for 20 mins afterwards when they get cracked by 63 sooooooted? Grin

well done, you got me down to the ground! The min raise is the way forward!!
