Really like the concept...

Maybe influenced by the fact that I clicked a few buttons on the Sunday million pool with my free points, fell asleep and forgot about it.

Saw an email today congratulating me on my first place finish for 11 quid.

SPINNNNNNNNNNN!
Seriously though I like the idea and the potential for this kind of betting, wish you all the success so the site can grow.

Are you sure you are close to a very good championship side? All the players I mentioned came from teams who was unwanted by teams that finished just above you or below you. Jennings could be very good though, not a clue about m'voto though, it's not in my view a team that will be again much clear of the drop zone for another season. The positives are that you don't start the season with hill though!

As things stand though, 2/1 top SY team doesn't look bad compared to our quietness

'Very strong championship squad' might have been a poor choice of words as it suggests I think we're a top six team. I should have said something like a solid championship squad. Imo this years squad should comfortabley avoid relegation and I wouldnt be surprised with a mid table finish.

Two different scenarios, the aq hand you only have to think about your exact equity vs the limpers range. Your shoving so dont need to worry about how the hand plays postflop.

The  second AJ hand is completely different. Your AJ may be ahead of the OR's range but imo 3b is a mistake. Your hand plays ok vs his open but not against the hands he will call the 3b with and if he 4b shoves we're not loving it. When he calls the 3b we've inflated the pot OOP in a now marginal spot and if we're folding to a 4b then we're essentially turning the hand into a bluff.

Think this is my first strategy post ever so apologies if it sounds like waffle. It makes sense in my head though.

Camel I think the record currently stands at 4 on www.racingferrets.org.

Sherrif, anything more to report on m'voto? I dont know anything other than he's big and we poached him from under donnys nose.

I am biased but agree the 12/1 seems like value. As tighty mentioned its based on Leeds having a bad season. I don't see much threat from Donny, im not convinced by Dickov. Then id say we have as much chance as hudds and wednesday. Wednesday haven't really improved their squad yet. At 12/1 im defo having a bet.

Incredibly disappointing to be a Wednesday fan at the moment, we've made no moves whatsoever. If it wasn't for two weak sides in Yeovil and Donny coming up, then is be very worried about our chances.

We need strikers & quick.

I struggle to understand Barnsley signings though. COG is very 'meh', Nyatanga wasn't overly wanted by the faithful at Bristol City & Cofie made no impression at League One level.

COG is far from 'meh'.His form was outstanding in the second half of the season. Nyatanga didnt do too well last year but he was solid when on loan with us from Stoke. Coife wont be starting for us, he's one for the development squad. We've also signed Jennings who could be class and a big unit of a defender today who I dont know much about. We've kept all the players we wanted from last year. We're one striker short of a very good championship squad.

I have so much faith in Dave Flitcroft. The bloke installs confidence in the fans and players. There's been some exciting changes at board level too. Any Barnsley fan will tell you its the most optimistic we've been since our return to the championship. Cue 0-6 drubbing to Wigan on opening day.

Great video but for some reason i enjoyed the matching shorts/ball more. Back story please. How and when was it decided? Did you buy the croquet set then decide you obv needed matching shorts? Does your family have a wide variety of short colours in the closet for these kind of situations? Bizarre coincidence? So many questions..

Rumors of Grant Holt to Wigan. Good signing if true.
10  Community Forums / Betting Tips and Sport Discussion / Re: Hooligans in Argentina on: June 12, 2013, 04:20:08 PM
A big problem with Argentinan football is that the hooligan groups or 'Barra Brava'  are huge business and often have ties with the higher ups at the club. Its not in the clubs interest to police the situation as everybody is taking a piece of the pie.

These hooligan groups control everything in and around the ground. I went to Boca vs River recently. When my gfs uncle parked the car, he had to pay a member of the Barra Brava to 'look after' his car. Basically if you dont pay, another member of the group is likely to smash your car up and steal anything you dare to leave inside.

Football in Argentina is fascinating but farcical, the culture that is. The actual standard of the league is pretty poor with any talent moving to Europe very early(its said that the Barra Brava even get a cut of transfers!!!)

In regards to the article, banning away fans might reduce violence but I doubt it will prevent it. It's not un-common for rival factions of a club's Barra to fight with each other.

If you're interested in this kind of stuff this is an interesting article http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/21/argentina-football-gangs-barra-bravas from a couple of years ago.

Also youtube Danny Dyers International holligans. He did one in Argentina. A lot of it seems staged but if you can get past Danny Dyer showing how much of a rudeboy he is, its pretty interesting.

Not seen it mentioned yet, 'el super classico' Boca Juniors vs River Plate at La Bombonera.

Its number 1 on this list http://observer.guardian.co.uk/osm/story/0,,1182710,00.htm but dont´t believe that its only a few quid to get in.

I attended last Sunday and it´s the most intense atmosphere I´ve ever witnessed. If your ever in BA when this fixture is on, you MUST attend!

Video found on youtube from Sunday´s 1-1 draw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsUBXOXoc64 The game stopped 30 mins into the second half so the fans can have a bit of a sing song and fireworks display.

I like the Derby bet, evens on Betfair

Backed them midweek against Blackpool as i thought they were overpriced. Think they will do pretty well this year. Jason Shackell is a great signing from Barnsley.

Evens seems a very good price against a Doncaster team who are struggling with injuries.
