Sunrisers walloped Rajasthan in their first game today - great start for the bet.

I must have missed the publication of the list of 'good Jews', with whom it is ok to meet with, and 'bad Jews', that you can't.

YouGov poll for thetimes gives May 11-point lead on best PM, highest since before election http://bit.ly/2E7ibfq

Have to say I really admire her resilience through such a testing period and I think she's somehow managed to work herself into quite a trusted position (in the eyes of the general population) on Brexit..that's no mean feat

Oh dear now you’re gonna get it

FWIW I partly agree with you, she is on an upward curve from an admittedly low starting point.

The appearance of progress on Brexit has helped her (without progress on the Irish border question any 'agreements' aren't worth a lick) but it's the Russia stuff that has worked in her favour - the EU and US also kicking out Russian diplomats has given her the sheen of a PM leading the world on a foreign policy crisis.

The mystery of how Stu's accounts are still open has been solved.

It would be a properly dickish move to pull out of a tournament once you've been charging 90,000 people £60 a pop to watch qualifying games for it on the basis of no new information (the notion that Russia is a corrupt dictatorship that gets up to some weapons-grade shady shit across the world is hardly new news).

Isn’t it possible to disagree without being offensive?

That aside, it seems you’re ok with English fans getting smashed up & locked up. Fair enough, if you’re one of those who’s been shelling out £60 a pop.

England pulling out of the WC now would just be virtue signalling posturing. The time to pull out of the Russia WC was as soon as it was announced when an obviously corrupt bid from a country with an appaling human rights record and a huge hooliganism problem won.

But we didn’t, we were cool with all that.

Also, probably better if you disagree with things I actually say, rather than constructing ‘AndrewT loves seeing England fans getting beaten up’ strawmen.

Plenty can happen to stop him from getting it - Michael Owen had about 20 goals when he was 22 yet only got 40 in total.

Another great back in the day photo.

Anyone remember Tizer?

It was the 1950 version of Red Bull. Well wicked.

Really enjoyed these photos but the most striking impression is what a low priority fashion was. Really god damn awful in fact. So many ill-fitting garments, coarse fabrics & bland colours.

I mean take this dude on the left. He strikes the pose of a natty dresser but upon closer inspection those ankle-freezers with jesus sandals, no socks & hip-hugging knitted waistcoat tell a different story. His chum next door wears the widest trousers I've ever seen outside of a circus. I can only imagine these fellas have donned their dad's threads to get some of that British shag on offer at this seedy establishment. Or to see the aspro if you're that way inclined.

Pretty harsh there Mantis - Karabiner saved up all his pocket money to afford that outfit.

Scrolled down Marky’s picks in his first post - thought ‘he’s got a good selection for the week there’ then realised that was just day one.

There’s throwing a few darts at Cheltenham but Marky just hurls a hedgehog at the board.

Funking pretty hard for Marky.

I like Gilliland today at Lakeside. Came through the qualifiers taking some decent scalps. Thompson has looked pretty hopeless in the WS events in Australia. I can’t possibly have him favourite here today.

Jeez this was unlucky - Gililand lost after missing eight match darts.

So, does Adrian Lewis still get a wild card spot for the Premier League after that?

Would it be better for him if he didn’t - he’s still only 32, first round loss here plus an empty spring might give him the kick up the arse he needs to put the effort in to raise his game.
