365 have MVG at 4/6 to win it, and 4/6 for the winner to come from his quarter, yet MVG is 1/8 to win his quarter.

How does that work?

The tennis system means that players can't rig the draws - didn't we have a scenario where Whitlock was always 16th in the rankings because other players wanted to avoid a guaranteed 2nd round match with MVG in majors and so threw games in order to avoid being 16 and were happy to take their chances in the draw at 17 or 18.

Are there no terrestrial highlights for this Ashes series?

Not on telly - I think BT Sport have them on their website for free.

What sort of lead do England need to have a reasonable chance here? What are typical 4th Innings scores in Test Matches at the Gabba?

Fourth innings scores at Brisbane - this is quite an un-Brisbane pitch though so past form may not be as reliable an indicator as usual.

Is it 11.30 or 12 start tonight? Cant seem to find it anywhere....

I think it's 11.58 - there's one over to make up.

Surely it just means that if two FTBs want a property, they both have an extra few grand to throw at it so will raise the price by bidding each other higher.

Out of interest how much does it cost for the forum to operate without moderation?

The same as it costs with moderation.

The most ridiculous thing about a dog getting a medal is the dog will get absolutely no pleasure from it.

Human - 'Well done dog - you were very brave, here's a medal'

Dog - *sniffs medal*. 'WTF is this - I can't eat this'

Surely Russia is a far better draw than Poland, they look pretty awful despite being at home...

Home nations in the World Cup generally up their game, regardless of form though.  I'd much prefer Poland compared to Russia in their home stadium.

And that's before taking into account the inevitable carnage between the fans and the subsequent headlines about football hooliganism dominating the tournament.

Also need to keep an eye out for any referees in the Russian games who suddenly start driving around in brand new Ferraris.

Considering the massive massive massiveness  of brexit I actually think they're doing quite well to function at all

The massive massive massiveness of Brexit hasn't started yet - all that's happened is the start of talks to begin trying to start it has barely yet begun. And that's going really badly.

Germany/Nigeria and, based on Tuesday night's performance, Denmark would be pretty bad.

Despite the huge potential for embarrassing lols I'd quite like to see an Ashes World Cup match.

I think if drawn against a Euro side in Pot 1 we can't get a Euro side from Pot 3 and 4?

Ah yes - there can't be 3 European teams in the same group.

Labour got hurt by losing working-class Leave voters to UKIP/Tories. They're not going to come back until this Brexit thing is sorted out.

Not until then can Labour get these people back (which would, of course, be helped by the effects of Brexit sticking it right in the arse of Leave areas).

After his successful coup against the long-serving, but deeply unpopular leader, I understand Major General Moyo has been contacted by a group of Arsenal fans.
