Looks like Justin Trudeau has found himself a new style inspiration.

Not a bad day to bury this one

The government has quietly admitted that it's double counting its tests. Results have never hit more than 80k in a day.

LOL - they've got a week to hit 200,000 a day.

Saw a great comment on Twitter - ‘Boris Johnson sacking Cummings would be like Emu sacking Rod Hull’

Those trotting races are terrible things to watch but someone seems to know about them - just had a race there where the first two home were backed from 8/1 to 5/2 and 16/1 to 9/2.

I was having a look at the card at Caen later today and noticed that in the 3.15 and 3.50 every horse is 3yo and their name begins with an H, the 4.25 is 5yo and names start with an F and 4.58 for 4yo and every name starts with a G.

What's that all about?

Looks like something out of a 70s porno.

I’m not averse to a slightly more mature woman but I think that’s a bit too old for me.

There was one Blonde Bash where I was the first one knocked out and, judging from the fact there are zero photos of me playing poker and all the photos of me standing around drinking I guess it was that one.

Raab and whatsherface both seemed nervous to me. Raab should be used to this sort of thing by now you'd have thought.

Tonight was garbage. Not the same without Hancock in charge.

Peston should be banned imo and Laura should be shuffled down the order occasionally. We're all having enough Groundhog Day without this being like the Q&A equivalent of Last Of The Summer Wine.

I read that only 14% of CV victims who go on to a ventilator make it out the other end. Scarily bad number if so.

I don't think that's right.   I saw that number and think it was an at the time number.   Others were still in intensive care and alive at the time.   Think it will be more like 50/50 in the end.

Seriously bad for Boris, having watched it first hand last year, it is amazing what they can do.

Good luck Boris.

I had a reply to this with a link to a study but the thread pruning last night chopped it off - maybe the moderators could put back the non-controversial posts that were pruned(?)

This post is back in the thread now.

This has got really serious now - we knew from the shenanigans at the press conference earlier that we weren't being told all the facts and now we know why. People who are in intensive care don't just go back to work after a couple of days right as rain.

Someone (presumably Dominic Raab) needs to be formally named as an Acting PM, someone who with whom the buck stops with regards to decisions being made - now is not the time for a power vacuum.

Dominic Raab saying he hasn't spoken to Boris since Saturday - so in what way is Boris running the country if he's not communicating with his deputy?

If Boris is actually seriously ill, it's fine for him to step back from governing and take the time needed to get better - there's no need for a charade whereby he's pretending to still be in charge.
