Purely from a moderation standpoint, it's quite amazing they allow threads that include threats of suicide to continue to be posted on.

They should be locked down.

At a previous job, I had a suicide threat reported to me that resulted in a police force on a different continent visiting an individual and removing a gun from them that they had just bought and planned to use on themselves.

I got an email of very heartfelt thanks some weeks later.

Talk to the young cousin, see what they have to say about the behaviour. It does sound like the tail end of separation anxiety. The more attention you pay to the behaviour the worse it will become.

Everytime you give your dog attention either negative or positive you are rewarding them for behaviour. If your dog has missed you then they will be craving attention.

Next time your dog plays up at 2 am ignore them. No matter what they do, they will then learn that that behaviour doesn't get them attention. When they stop praise them and give them attention. Reawrd good behaviour and ignore bad behaviour.

I want them to use that "force" I didn't write Jedi on my census form for no reason you know!!! Sadly their lack of otherwordly hocuspocus makes me quite sad, as I know it's not real, as I always expected.

As for stage hypno trickery. It's no such thing, it's a bit of memory, some good acting, an understanding of society and a dash of psychology.

Like I said .. find me someone who can tell me exactly what would be glaringly obvious to anyone with an ounce of otherwordly doodahy "sight" and I will be a believer.

No.

That was slightly facetious of me. I've had my palm read a few times, they never got anything right, and I have a friend who swears blind she is psychic, but she never told me anything about my future or anything that I had never inferred to her in some way or another.

There is a facet of me that would be glaringly obvious to anyone whose business it was to deal in altered perceptions, and not one of them has ever managed to mention it to me.

I remain unconvinced.

I liked the bit where she went and turned the telly off.

We get a plug in from the vets, it's like one of those glade air things, except it gives out comforting pheremones that dogs recognise as being given out by mum dogs when they were puppies, it calms then and makes them very relaxed.

We use it for a week or so before and a week after bonfire night.
