Hi All,

Sarah is here today, she's got some new pics, I don't want to offend anyone by just posting them up, but if the majority wants to see them, then I will post. If you don't want to see em of course, you can just not look....

Anyway let me know.

Noobs who don't know me/Sarah- I am sure someone will explain.

I'm doing my degree via the OU, the tutorial schedule is a bit hectic on mine - one every two weeks or so in the evenings, but the course is interesting, and it's all planned very well.

Be interesting to compare experiences..

BTW OT, but I'm in an article in the Telegraph magazine today about online community...As you can tell, work is mental atm..

www.audible.com

I've been bloody telling you about audio books for ages now... sheesh. they were great when I was commuting big time, now this job has a less horrible journey, plus the fact I am now chomping into text books on the journey has meant that I haven't listened to any for a while.

The Time Travellers Wife is a good listen, although there was that one point where I was crying on the Viccy line over it.

I did all the Dan Brown's via audio book, much better way of doing em IMHO.

Gosh!

Poor Red's been backed into a corner, was probably doing 4 or 5 things at once (you know how men can't multitask!).

It was a tad curt, but knowing Red, I expect it was made in the best of hearts, and meant to be seen as a playful smack on the hand.

I believe he has tried to make amends....

Mr Newbie, shrinking player bases in line with the current situation (The Oncoming Storm - top marks to those who can spot that reference), has probably made the mods a bit protective of their lovely cardroom. They are all lovely really.

I'm not sucking up to anyone - god knows I wouldn't do that - ask the mods LOL, but lots of bods attacking is a sure fire way to get ANYONE's hackles up, specially a pedigree like Red's. Let him get out of his corner, shake his fur down and then everyone will be a bit calmer Smiley

Thing is with moderation, is that, like a host at a particularly nice party, you aren't supposed to notice them unless they mess up, usually swearing loudly at the third glass of red wine on their beige carpet. Who knows what has happened in the secret room (they probably still haven't found the kettle) over the last few days - you won't have noticed the crisii they have averted - because they were doing their job seamlessly as usual.

"You say it best, when you say nothing at all..."

I just think it's interesting that it was described as an article, and treated as one, when it's in fact someone's life commentary (in a blog's purest form, this is what it is).

If it was a front page "article", then comment in that manner - but not their thoughts...

Interesting how the perception of blog is now rather enmeshed with an article or similar written piece. Fascinating in fact the way formal and informal (such as blogs) pieces of writing are now melded together. Possibly a fault of the site in presenting them as such, but probably rather endemic all over the net.

It's his blog, if it serves him well to write it down that's his own choice.

Stream of conciousness kinda thing.

That's kinda the whole point of a blog, I thought.

When I was in Orlando, sad Vegas freak that I am ... we caught an internal flight to vegas for a couple of days, we did this independantly of the package we were on, cause I couldn't stand the thought of being on the same continent as Vegas and not going there.

5 hour flight, but well worth it .. and if you are sensible (not me then) you can spend the same amount a day as you would doing the theme park marathons.

All the time I was in Orlando I wanted to be in Vegas, except when i was swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove.

I especially felt bad when we were about to go and see La Nouba, and outside they were playing the music from O - whOlly unfair, and very cruel.
