Cyprus was under UK ruling till 1955, then fights broke out between locals and UK colony to support the union off the island and Greece mainland. Cyprus became independent in 1960 with new constitution and with mix government  with a Cypriot president and Turkish vice, something that did not work according to plan. Greece England and Turkey were guaranty countries and were responsible for the safety of the peopl of the island. When in 1974 we had a coup to overturn the government turkey as one of the above countries found the excuse to send troops with the UK USA and NATO blessing and now occupy about 40% off the island. Now as to why UK back the above action, I believe that was the UK policy off divide and rule that prevailed !! Now the UK has two military bases on the island that serve there purpose off controlling Middle East . Anyway did not want these to turn into a political debate but sometimes is good to know some facts. Looking forward to your posts😉😉😉

Hi lil Dave I have been following ur blog for a while and am interested to continue reading about ur experiences about poker. Am a  greek cypriot and currently recite in uk so in a way we change countries!!  Excuse me if my English are not so great but a allow me to say that for such a smart guy like yourself you are a bit unfamiliar with European history. Turkey have invaded and  separated Cyprus in 1974 with the blessing of the UK and USA because as a warrant country with Greece and uk had the power to do so as an excuse to protect the turkishcypriots from the coup that was on going in the country at the time. Therefore greekcypriots have a good reason to be hotblooded as u called it don't u believe so!! The north occupied section of the island has been transformed to an illegal state that houses criminals and crooks as well as big time gamblers at the expense of families that been kicked from their houses and torn apart from Turkey thanks.

I wanted to post my thoughts about the following issue earlier but I just found the time now, pls note that my intentions are pure and with no malicious reasons, I believe and if am wrong correct me that more than one person that got through on the day one online were playing in the club last night, therefor were able if wanted to exchange info, not saying they did but taking into account to what happened with the sky open satellite few days ago, what is the opinion of the club about players that using their router to play online, is it not the same as two people play online in the same house!! Again my question was not made to picture any specific player or with any bad intent!! Thanks
