Always hear Arsenal lack a leader
Arsenal captains of the last 3 seasons have started a total of 13 games. 2013-14 Vermaelen 7
2014-15 Arteta 6
2015-16 Arteta 0
I'm pretty sure they celebrated St. Totteringham's day in each of those seasons though. Is that the ambition for this season too?

The Maccabees have called it a day, and are due to announce a few farewell shows. Never really got into them much despite liking some of their stuff. My flatmate is a big fan so no doubt he'll guilt trip my arse into going if they play somewhere local ish. Coral and Super Furry Animals both heading out on tour but have seen both fairly recently so probably a swerve. Recent gigs all excellent. Very impressed by The Bluetones. Shed Seven as great as always and were much better than OCS in Leeds (I might be a tad biased ). Ash brilliant despite a few sound problems, forget how good their back catalogue is. Excited to see them perform 1977 in full later this year. August is a slow month but things pick up in late September for me, a flurry of gigs to see the year out, got at least 8 (Yorfest, The Enemy, Fratellis, Ash, White Lies, Cast, Feeder, Shed Seven) from 24th September through to December. Enjoy whatever shows you people go to see Wow - had not seen anywhere The Maccabees has called it a day, pretty gutted. Been a big fan of them for about 10 years having seen them countless times, they always put on a good show. Will be definitely try and get tickets for their farewell gig. Yeah announced on their FB page earlier today, bit out of the blue! Will keep my eyes peeled for farewell dates as well. I said in an earlier post but I do worry for some of these guitar bands that broke through in the mid '00s; The Enemy are going as are the Maccabees now, how long before others like Maximo Park, Editors, The Rifles, The View, Pigeon Detectives etc call it a day? They are all 4/5 albums in now and the music industry is a hell of a lot different now compared to 2004/5/6. Surely it was always this way? The Easybeats, Herman's Hermits, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Amen Corner, Love Affair, Cream, Jethro Tull, Mott the Hoople, The Police, The Stone Roses (yes I know they came back, but the point is still valid), Oasis, The Smiths. Why should your list be immune to the issues that cause bands to burn and die, or just simply fade away.

3 0 up against barcelona, suarez and messi looking lost!
pool looking very very impressive.
Was surprised to see how many were at Wenbley to watch this - 90,000. Blimey. Isn't this just all the Liverpool plastic fans based in London who don't normally get to go? Can't imagine many Liverpool based season ticket holders would be bothered to get down to London for such a meaningless game. It is a staggering attendance though I agree for a friendly. They were playing Barcelona If Watford were playing Barca at Wembley in the superdooper friendly cup I wouldn't bother going and I live next door. Maybe it's just me but I think exhibition games are completely unappealing if you've already got a season ticket for the real thing. Yeah, but there are a lot of folks willing to pay to see Barca. Messi, Suarez, Neymar in the flesh. Apparently Wembley is sold out for an American Rugby game. That's not all locally based fans.

Saying your life is carnage makes him sound like a tool in my opinion. Look around at others Vardy and stop whining you moron. Of course, if you take the trouble to actually read the article you will find the whole sentence from which that headline was taken. So does life feel different as a champion? “It is carnage. I basically can’t go out at the minute and I don’t leave my house,” he says, closing his eyes and laughing.

lol double win. Not only did my local Spar still have a copy (Sainsburys didn't) but I gave the shop assistant a £20 note plus 5p for the paper and a bottle of coke totalling £3.05. I could see him trying to figure it out in his head, and for some explicable reason about 30 seconds later he gave me £21.90 in change My most profitable night in weeks. What do I do, Tikay? You're on a gambling forum... ...put an acca on half a dozen bets from the racing post. Tempted to go back and buy a twix with a £50 note, see how much I earn. You know that the staff will have to make up the shortfall out of their minimum wage pay packet?

That's right just ignore the problem, I'm sure it will go away.
Brexit voters inspired these people and vindicated their beliefs. Well done.
BUllshit. These people needed no inspiration. They don't care about how others see them either. It's time for people to get a grip and focus on where we are. You remind me of the numpties that walked around in the 80's wearing "Don't blame me, I voted Labour" shirts and badges.

she probably feels that mid honeymoon period she loses no face walking away from it. her adviser was publically very cricitical of it in late 2015 The critical consensus seems to be that there are more practical, less grandiose alternatives to Hinkley Point which can come online quicker, and without exposing our energy infrastructure to foreign powers (trickier post Brexit, perhaps). if the Government is prepared to review top-tier projects in which the previous administration was heavily invested, might we see a change of direction on HS2? Send it round in circles, like a rail version of the M25
