When I were a lad (and Tikay must have been just collecting his first free bus pass), a (British) billion had 12 zeroes as opposed to the cheaper, and inferior, American billion with just 9 zeroes. Does anyone else yearn for those days?

When I get a bad beat, I swear and momentarily think about chucking the laptop before regaining composure (to date, anyway).

I'm getting just the slightest sense that you guys aren't really keen on the maths aspect of the game - or perhaps, just like to take the rip out of pedants like myself.

However, the odds of hitting the backdoor flush would have been 21/1.


Reminds me of a time where three of us flopped a set - I had the middle set.
All the money went in on the flop and I hit the backdoor flush.
Hardly a bad beat at all really - I don't know why the other guy cried.
