My daughter also has occasional alopecia. It has never been really bad as yet, but she always has a small bald patch somewhereon her head.

I think I probably worry about it more than her.. when we first found it it was a pretty big deal for her but obviously I really played it down. Luckily her group of friends are all a good bunch who have been her mates all the way through school (she's 17 now). This meant that when she had her first really obvious patch, she simply told people what it was and it was treated as pretty unimportant because of how she approached it with people.

I appreciate your daughter is younger and will find it harder to understand but all I can suggest is trying to keep it as low key as possible, and making her realise it really isn't such a bad thing.

I know I think about it a lot and whenever she gets a new patch I have a secret cry but because I make light of it in front of her and her peer group don't take the piss at all, she just doesn't give it a second thought now.

Dunno if that's any help whatsoever but just wanted to add my personal experience as a dad x

Played Stoke GPS at the weekend.

Watched a guy limp in every hand on day two and calll every raise, regardless of 3/4/5 bet action before him. As each player made a raise he would pick up the correct chips to call before next to act had done anything, then if they raised again he simply picked up more chips.

Most of his calling range seemed to involve a duece, or at least cards lower than a  5.

Beat my pocket tens with Q6 off, after flopping two pair. Cracked aces with A2. Beat Dan Trett's pocket Queens with K7 off. These are just a few examples.

My exit hand involved him calling my raise with 53 off and flopping two pair, sending me home in 32nd place (thin brag inserted there obv)

His reward was fnishing second for 18K.

Mark now lives in my home town.

No intentions of posting details but it's my understanding he has had some quite big personal issues.  Certainly not making excuses for him but having been in a position myself where being brought low by life led to a stupid and un thought out move, I can at least feel some empathy for him.

I doubt he intentionally set out to grim anyone and I'm certainly sure a thread like this will not help his mental state at all.

DTD reg James Raggy Clarke gets a very nice £21,000 for second place, well played to both, and course to all of the final table players.
