I was in the waiting room of an "emporium" or "parlour" of sorts, & the reading choice in the rack was The Sun, Mens Health, or the Daily Mail. Not an easy choice, that.
Probably best not to ask what sort of parlour!

Not sure about positive or otherwise..... I am sure about happy. The two often go hand in hand but not always. I am sure that it is what "I feel" that is the important thing. This was one of the many lessons learnt on the weight loss. People would come up and say "you have lost enough haven't you?" " you will put it all back on". Their opinions in this context are not valid and I now care even less about what other people thin. If positive thought works for you in these contexts then it works....
That's positive. You're even thinking thin!

Ok OK - just so Mr Raab (best Grosvenor poker bloke jobbie according to Tikay) can say he has the biggest poker tour I'll run a £500 buy in at my house, free tea and coffee and water, great dealer and the house only takes £50 juice per player. Bargain imo - sign up now.....max 7 players as that's all my dining room table can take! As for the tour part - one game will be in the lounge and one in the kitchen - sorted. Who's in? ? Stick a free colonic in there and we've got a tour I can see the ad now "play poker and get cleaned out!" You could say its got a ring to it!

New to Blonde but have been lurking here for a few weeks since becoming an occasional player at the G in Luton.
Was you there the other week when Poker in the Pub held some sort of Tourny? Welcome to blonde Michelle Funnily enough I was there that night but it was for the £30 + bounty tournament, not the pub league event. The league I used to play in was called The Nuts Pub Poker League (the one where the founder appeared on Dragons Den to raise money).

Welcome Alan, I was one of the lucky choppees that night, irritating, grey and a missing tooth. Oh, and chopped the £250 too last Friday
(An idle brag post ,disguised as a welcome - you'll get used to it :-)
See you at luton again
Cheers
Thanks Nirvana. I remember the grey but not the irritating!
You must be Glen ?
We also both won a few pounds on the cash table on Saturday night (is this how a brag post works?).

Thanks for the welcome.
New to Blonde but have been lurking here for a few weeks since becoming an occasional player at the G in Luton. The opportunity to reply to your post finally tempted me to sign up!
Approx 2 years poker experience and would class myself as a very enthusiastic amateur but (hopefully) continuing to improve. Poker highlight to date is winning a National pub Poker League and a GUKPT seat (Brighton 2007) after just 6 months playing. Got through to day 2 and finished c 80th.
Haven't repeated that since!
3 final tables at Luton so far including a 5th place in the £75 Friday before last (the other 4 chopped it just as I went out - so not so lucky!).
Alan.
