Lawrence Gosney moves all-in from UTG+1, everyone folds. He shows .

Simon Trumper, "You've been waiting all this time for that monster?"

Soon after, he pushes again on the button and Hassan Irfan calls in the big blind.

Irfan:
Gosney:

......

Gutshot for Gosney means another short stack doubles up. We may have to start drinking soon.

Richard Hawes (who Dana thinks is secretly an Elf) has 2/3 of the chips in the £150 with 3 left.

Gosney .................. golden................. you think?

binked 3 rivers today! - ship the money now - save the late night everyone!

Nick Hicks raises to 22k from early position, Steve Jelinek makes it 80k from the big blind. Nick quickly announces all-in for about 130k more on top, Steve calls. Biggest pot of the tournament.

Jelinek:
Hicks:

Steve's total count is 212,700 which is slightly more than Nick has and the EPT Grand finalist picks up a pot worth over 400k. Hicks is out and no doubt a little gutted about losing a flip which would be for a final table stack.

I think the photo sums it up.

oh my!

I can feel a Jelenik/Gosney expolsion coming!

Jelink is gonna flop a set (obv) and lawrence a back door flush and back door straight hand with 75 (obv never folding with all those back doors possibilities and his 'god pass')

and the winner of the hand will ship the tourney!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11472  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: your rulings please on: March 02, 2009, 04:22:12 PM
I dont think this is anything like Brighton

The Original raiser is just staing the obvious. The BB has less than a pot sized bet - so the BIG STACK raiser isnt folding any 2 cards - even if he is holding 23 on a AKQ board!

I dont even think this is angle shooting! We need to bring common sense back into the game. It is funny - I e-mailed Jonathon Rabb and asked him to clarify the ruling after Brighton - as it will fiilter down to small acard rooms and home games in a chinese whispers stylee! And ta dah - "speech play rulings required" on every forum!

It is a game of psychology as well as skill! Unless someone is knowingly cheating - then i think we need to move on and get on with the game. If you ask me the person who asks for a ruling is angle shooting - not the person using speech play!

For the record - in your example - he was specific enough to have bet out of turn - action is binding. For your friend in the Big Blind - so bad - just so so bad! Get em in - he aint passing!

Initially missing, presumed lost, brother Tom confirmed the demise of Stuart Rutter. "Paul Parker pushed from the cut-off for 8,000 with T-5, Stu called in the big blind with A-K, but Parker hit a full house. Stu only had 9,000 at the time." I can only assume the 1,000 went in the following hand, and with final nail results.

OMG - when will stu get a break!

UL man

cheers snoop - you have kept me entertained all day! Ill be down there tomorrow to play the 250!

Great work!

Well, he's got a break now, he's out and can rest all he wants.
