What's simple about it?

If someone went in to a shop and purchased 100 cans of lager but scanned a 99p pair of socks x100, does that mean it's acceptable because he 'got it through'?

It was won by deception. Granted, it's a 'Casino' but whether you like or dislike their business ethics, it's still legitimately protected by law.

The casino willfully disregarded their own rules and safety measures because the guy was going to be paying for their xmas party by gambling with millions of pounds! More fool them!

Due to a "superstition"  of Ivey the cards were apparently dealt before he placed a bet making the reading of the backs easier, and the manager was asked to leave the room because he was bad luck.

more fool the casino for allowing any of these things to happen

They free rolled him - simple! Now pay the man his money

What was the Newton ave line? He threw 94.5 right? Pretty brutal

Was on at 94.5, he hit 94.9.  Under 9.5 180s, there were 10.

Yikes! So sick

Can someone explain to me how the blinds structure will work if you qualify through day 1? Do they restart at 100/200 on day 2? thanks.

Yes

Please see http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/ispt/ispt-structure2.pdf

blinds go back to 100/200

That link states ONLINE day 1 and it states you start with 5k and that it starts at 8pm? I'm playing the 2pm live day 1 on Sunday and you start with 50k right? Is this link wrong apart from the restating blinds on day 2? Thanks.

Can someone define "terrorism" please.

I always thought is was planned acts of violence by organisations planned and executed to cause fear and unrest in a population in order to change the policies of an enemy government.

What I didn't think it was: two random nutters killing a a random stranger however horrifying and disgusting that is.

Just because the murderer rambled on about random political and religious stuff in an attempt to justify his act doesn't make it terrorism.

quite so.

This! Government and media led fear!

Ive been saying it for years, and ill make it my only point in this thread (as I dont indulge in or digest mainstream media where ever possible),...........

If we really had something to fear, we the general public would be last to know about it!

Take your pick on any of the following:

Dangerous Dogs
Peadophillia
"Terrorism"
Football Violence
Weapons of mass Destruction

We are fed what the powers at large want us to be fed to fit their existing agenda. Are dogs not Dangerous anymore? Is there no violence at football anymore? What about abroad?

Take the word terrorism and islam(islamic/islamist etc) out of all of your news reports tonight, and see what you are left with.

Clearly this is a terrible event, but lets take it for what it is

I'm also not totally against having local variations.

Surely we have poker rules with local variation atm?

these rules are "just another set of rules" if you allow variation, and certainly dont standardise across the industry, which I believe was their intention

im going to say it will be older wiring

However the boxes are surface mounted, so i guess there is a small possibility that they are retro and recent?

I did once change a light fitting and that had 2 wires like your VIR pic

if anything it most closely represents the action hours on stars, but with weird payouts

hmmmm if we are going to use the argument it is  E300 buyin then surely it is a E3 buyin.  From what I can see the nut worst way to play these is to pay cash for a day one seat.  It is literally the only step along the way that has no overlay.  playing the E3, E30 sats to day one and the £50 rebuys to day 2 seems the nut best way to play this if you cant afford a Day 2 seat to me.

and if you are going to say that then you take it to the next step (which many people have) and say its a -xxx buy in

I have spent circa E400 playing satellites (at all levels) and won 4 seats, and entered day 2 at my 2nd attempt meaning I get a E600 refund.

On its facts, it is a E300 tourney with weird blinds, weird pay structure and an ability to buy in to Day 2 for circa average stack for E3k.

both answers are correct on different levels

in a court of law style arguement - it is clearly a E300 comp

However the fact the blinds reset, it can be argued that its effectvely a E3k comp

It is obviously something unique and therefore it perhaps needs its own new name?!?!?
