my aims for the year:

1) underraise all in on the river with air and make them fold
2) check raise 3 streets
3) make a deal in a live torny locking up over 1st prize.

lol just seen this - comedy! i know number 1 has been tried and failed and for number 3 it mbn, but anyone completed the check raise 3 streets yet?

Jack Powell has managed a nice act of binkage.

After Steve Littlejohn led out for 2k on a , Powell decided to just flat-call. The appeared on the turn and Littlejohn checked, Powell bet 5k and Littlejohn moved in, after counting his chips and seeing the size of the pot Powell made the call for most of his stack with , needing an Ace, Ten or heart to win against Littlejohn's . The river was in fact two of the three, coming the to make flush and straight, eliminating Littlejohn.

The miners are back celebrating a victory at the dogs...

[ ] im not jealous looking at this picture - everyone drinking champagne, corona, at the seaside, just been to the dogs, probs gonna play £2 showdown later, FML, sigh.......

u know if they've got a last longer on for tomorrow, or a race to 100k?

what odds on one of them in the above picture taking it down? Neil Channing about?

any idea on chip denominations floppy? greens 1k? well im guessing you probably do tbh, or counting would be quite difficult....
12  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: 2009 - The year of? on: January 15, 2009, 05:42:03 PM
I think binking is still on the up.

And also the introduction of a WSOP £2 Showdown bracelet event ldo.

nice angle on he binking tbh - right hand up in the air shouting 'we're getting paid' has starting an upturn in my recent binkage.

i seem to run like a fusion of god, sir steve redgrave and usain bolt at £2 showdown so might not be the worst idea..... how would the slowrolling / reslowrolling go down in Vegas tho?

We've lost only 10 players in 2 and half hours. Is everyone waiting to get into the Tikay Comfort Zone of 7BB's? Shocked

if all poker was played between 7 and 10 bbs floppy life would be absolute heaven imo...

Through the years we know that poker is ever evolving (probably, maybe, for someone somewhere...).

But remember on the WPT when people used to 5X it pre, or in like 2007 when UTG became the button for people under the age of 25, or the glory days of a few years back when i heard of the wonder of reverse implied odds, or 2004 when people OPEN LIMPED into pots (sigh) -

After all these changes - what should I, degenerate that i am, be looking out for in 09? Any cool new buzzwords? 2009 POKER - THE YEAR OF?Huh?

(p.s. leknave, middy etc .... I already now about the secret of the blue diamond shaped cards in the deck).

We was all a bit pissed last night and went back to the casino at about 4am last night. Got a game going 1/1 NLHE between me, nicky, knave, moor, trigg, tommyc, and middy.

Horneris is so shrewd tht he said he would deal it. Obv we just all get £100-£400 in pre every hand and just flip blind basically. Horneris gets paid nicely by me coz I was out of it! MBSN to be tipped £204 for 45 mins dealing!

actually comedy.....

surprised chiprich wasn't playing.......
