In a word yes I did think you were at it, at best I thought you might have an ace...the board had two diamonds as I recall.  I couldn't put you on an over-pair as I thought you have to bet that flop with the chips you had left, but you checked the flop, and shoved on the turn...and given how you had been playing I didn't think you had an under pair either as I don't think you would have raised pre-flop.  Also, when I asked you why you hadn't bet the flop you said something, but you really didn't seem very convincing, reminded me a bit of Jack Straw the other night trying to explain his immigration policy.  I was confident enough you were at it to bet my tournament on it.  Could have looked silly had I been wrong, but you makes your choices and you lives wiv 'em.

Ha, thanks....4th as it happens.  I'm sorry if you're a bit p*ssed off mate, but I thought I was right and went with it, I'm a recreational player, I have to make speculative calls and turn the odd pot into a game of bingo to progress in these things.  I'd have very little chance of getting anywhere if I tried to out play people.  I tried to out play someone once a few years ago and it was a disaster never again I promised myself...never again.
