Hate pretty much every street of this tbh. I'd raise pre. I like the flop bet. Checking the turn is fine if your going to check raise. If not, defo bet the turn. We're trying to get all the money in at some stage with this hand! River is obv a fold.

Playing a 10 man satty among friends for a seat into the DTD deepstack, where there are 2 seats available. 3 players left and the following hand occurs:
All stacks relatively equal, with 150000 chips in play. blinds 1500/3000/300. Button limps. this player is very unpredictable, able to make all in bluffs with air, able to slow play monsters, and very capable of mixing these styles at will, just a very tricky oppo, who I would say wouldn't really understand the dynamic of this situation. Small blind makes up. Very standard rock who understands the maths of the game, not really capable of making moves, although definately understands the situational dynamic.
I look down at  and am happy to take a cheap flop of

Sb checks, what now?
49  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Bad pre flop shove?? on: November 04, 2010, 12:01:36 AM
Ok, hand that caused a bit of a stir, I'd like your opinions on please. I have my views, but will try to remain neutral for discussion purposes.

Local £30 headhunter. General standard is, as you'd expect fairly tez. Blinds 300/600 (15 mins left at this level). Player A (cut-off +1) raises to 1600 (stack 12.5k), player B (cut-off) re-pops to 5k (stack 18.5k), folded back to Player A who shoves with and get called by  .

A little history between the players. previous level Player A raised (early pos), player B states that he folded  . Player B is also quite vociferous in his criticisms at the table and is seen as quite agressive. Player A is also known for overplaying marginal hands.

Sorry about the rambling, but feel the info is important.

One question, what do you think of thew pre flop shove by player A???

Ok, 1st level of a local donkament. £50 freeze, 25 min levels, 10k stacks. 3rd hand.
Table of unknowns to me.
Folded to me in hijack, I raise to 200 with  , sb throws 2x 1k chips, bb asks dealer if it a raise, dealer confirms it is, bb folds.
Sb then protests that it was only a call and claims he thought he threw 2x 100 chips in! TD called and deems it a raise.
What do you do?
I am almost certain that there isn't any angle shooting going on.

If you have a problem with me shoving a mid pocket pair on the button whilst ur on the bb with ak, dont advertise it on Face book, and whilst i had kk when you raised with air utg, does it matter how many chips i pushed with, really dont want u calling with ace rag, yes i do go on about my bad beats, but as u know i can fold aces on a rainbow flop all day long, espically when 2 guys both shove 20k of chips into the pot, easy fold, and yes i dit say i destroyed your stack, that gives me as much pleasure as winning the comp as i classed you as good player, (no shake of the hand though or no acknowledgement when i took u out, dissapointing) One thing with me George, i will congratulate on a nice hand(jj v aq last night, guy hit queen on river and destroyed my stack, Please dont comment on how i play, from 2nd Jan 2010 to March 25th 2010, 32 tourneys cashed in 27 generating £7,625.00, i go to our local casino for the company more than the value, i drive 300 miles a day and i find it relaxing, yes i will go to Dtd on occasions for the deepstack(twice and cashed once) but dont broadcast bad play at the casino its what every poker player likes as long as the bad play does not get lucky. please get me a poker dictionary for xmas, need to learn all this lingo, tez, bonk, binkage.

Oh by the way, if u fancy a heads up game let me know £10k sit down just me and u, pick the casino, see who is a tez then.
FYI - The way the hand played out was the following: Mike raises 10k (effective stack 30k) folded to him on the button, blinds 1k/2k/200, George ships it, and Mike has to now call. Slightly different to shoving the button and probably what lead to the comment 'tez player', as that is an awful way to play 8's on the button.
I think the animosity comes from the comment " I demolished George", when effectively you won a race and overplayed KK to a raise several hands earlier. In that situation, anybody who knows anything about poker ALWAYS should want a call from a raggy ace, although, George is good enough not to raise in EP with a raggy ace, therefore the shove just eliminates hands that you have crushed, against an agro player, the equity lost with that play is enormous.
Just my humble opinion.

lol, he has you there George. My favourite bit is how there is no need to separate different parts of the post with paragraphs. I like sausage rolls. I think George should play him heads up. I am going to the shops to buy some bread. Are we not still waiting for Cos to also play Andrew Feldman? What did everyone think if the inbetweeners the other night? I saw George's facebook update and wondered if it could turn into a bit of a grudge match kind of thing. Lisbon is the capital of Portugal.

Best post of the year, so far!!! LOL

Should say, I'm in BB, not that it matters!
57  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Aggro Button Raise on: April 02, 2010, 05:08:54 AM
£10 rebuy, 8 handed, top 5 paid. Blinds 1500/3000/400.

Folded to button (very aggresive player, especially in position), who raises to 10.5k (out of a stack of 200k), I look down at  two hearts Two Diamonds, I'm playing the shortstack with 18k and shove, he obv. calls and flips  , I spike a 2 and get criticized for shoving.

My one and only question : Can anybody, seriously, find a fold in this position? Personally, I think it a shove 100% of the time!
