'mark ups getting out of hand'    what i do is i don't buy a piece of the person if i don't think what they're selling is value, then i go and eat some food or have a drink of something or maybe go out play some football who the hell knows, basically i carry on with the rest of my day. What i don't do is sit on my arse berating the person on Facebook for his 'high mark up' and tell him how he's not value, i just say it to myself ( lol look at this wally selling at 1.3, good luck)

Merry summer everybody x

pretty annoying spot with 220bb...  my experience against chinese reg's though is that they seem to get it in ridiculously tight, which would edge me to folding.

Hello Sam,

Don't mind the open, depends on game flow. Personally I c/f flop, i think its an awful board for us to be cbetting 4 way. As played i'm betting like 42k (bet folding) on the turn, even though I think someone is likely to be pretty strong at this stage but we now have a combo draw and I don't expect anyone really to jam over our bet. We can build the pot for when we hit rivers and check fold when we miss - maybe jam A rivers too. Jamming turn is awful imo, i don't know what were expecting original flatter to fold to us?

Prob flat pre, as played id fold to 4 bet, doubt he's ever light,I'd imagine his range is kk+ with the chance of qq. Hand plays badly against his range.

I think his hand is exactly

good peel out of the blinds with the 7high there kid.

I had a read on the medium weak preflop raiser. Felt like I wanted to play pots with him because he was doing lots of flop checks and terribad medium-weak turn folds innit. xx

sigh. looks like you were right.

Result of this hand were that I folded, due to pretty much the reasons rob said, Andy line makes sense, I'm not doing GREAT vs RED's range either and I'm not closing the betting + i'd been sat down two orbits and didn't wanna look like a prize chump busting within 30minutes lol Tongue

I was tempted to call, then jam over a river bet as a bluff pllooooooooooey-style Tongue

agree with what rob says, and i don't think your deep enough to call turn check/jam river, plus the line wouldn't make sense after checking flop imo lil d. How would you proceed if you took this line and hit a spade?

Maybe the players you guys play with like to fold, but my experience with live poker is that ppl don't fold. ppl don't fold JJ just cos there's a k there.

Trying to empty the clip vs guys like this is just burning money cos no1 ever folds. Just take three streets off them next hand when you have top pair good kicker. or pick off a spazzy river bluff. easy game.

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've tripled barrelled a fish in a live donkament this year.

I could count the number of times on my hand that i've been called down here by the likes of jacks, not sure who your playing against, but with 14 left or whatever it is left, there's just no way the likes of these guys are calling 3 streets. Im actually LOVING it when they call the turn, more moniesssssssssss

def checking flop here, as played i def fold, i doubt he's ever folding here, feels like he has you beat almost all the time, he just has jj 10 10 kq aj a10 all time imo, like i dont even see this guy having a flush draw if he's decent, seems like a decent spot to just call flop with that and get payed when it comes a broccoli and maybe bluff if need be.
10  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Monte Carlo hand with Paul Skipper - bluff raise river? on: December 23, 2011, 06:29:41 PM
absolutely treble barrel that shit if need be, ok he's probably not folding the flop, possibly not the turn, but almost always the river as i feel he's range is heavily towards maybe 99-qq. I don't see these random guys check ak aa kk not near enough here deep to put them hands in there, but even if they are, these guys are gonna basically tell you. Ok the turns not amazing but like i said people tend to tell you here if he has qq once you've put in the second barrel in, and even if he does have qq and decided to just peel a second barrel we can still sometimes get a fold by the river this deep.... pressure pressure pressure needed here. As played i fold the turn, guys tend to get way more stubborn once you've checked the flop.

14  Poker Forums / The Rail / Possible Poker Players Charity Boxing Evening!? on: July 31, 2011, 04:18:26 AM
Myself and a few other poker player friends have been discussing for a while now of possibly organising a charity boxing event. Basically the idea was brought up as a way to help us get into good shape, and that we could also make money for charity, and we can all watch and have a laugh. I'm not sure where it would take place but i'm sure if there's enough interest in can be sorted. I actually think a lot of money could be made for charity from it, i know for a fact i'd pay a decent amount of money to see some hilarious contest's.

If anybody has any interest let me know, i think in around 6 months time would be ideal, giving people lots of time to train.

Once names are in we can select who should go up against who and so on.

No pro or semi ex or whatever fighters allowed sorry Smiley  just poker players.

People who showed interest previously where... jake cody, ash mason, tom mac and nicky evans.

Peace
