You're not playing deep enough if the standard raise is 2 times. Don't like peeling with your stack out of the sb and hate the call of the re raise even more.

Fold pre times 2

I know what your saying...... I Agree i shouldnt have played the hand at all, and wouldnt have done against many other oppo's.......

I was more interested in the action after that play and was wondering if there was an arguement for him making a correct call or not?

NLHE £0.50 / £1 Cash Game at Gala Casino Leeds.

LAG who is known to raise any 2 cards (sometimes blind) makes at £12 UTG, yes 12x BB raise, folds around to me i have  in the SB.
Villain makes it £34 to go, UTG raiser insta-calls (never played with him before), so i think i could well be crushed here (but the odds are too good to resist), but as im only playing £90 stack after the initial call i decide to call with the intention of jamming most flops which include any Q,K or any draws.......

So i call......

Flop

Im liking that flop, tank for moment then Jam my £60+ stack.
BB insta calls quicker than you can say F**K Me Drunk. Original raiser folds.......

Im think set-at least and could be in very bad shape........

Guy turns over

Me + my mate were analizing the hand afterwards and and he said it wasnt that much of a bad call.....

If i was in his position the only hand that i could me on would be Flush draw or Pair + Flush draw....... which IMO would still be a bad call.
Basically, i think he cannot possibly think he's ahead (Ive just pushed 2/3 pot bet into 2 players who originally raised/re-raised, im showing strength) at this stage and he must pay £60 into £160 to hit 1 of 4 Tens....... Still with a player to act behind him...... (Who incidently had Pocket Tens). My mate said that he may have thought his A or K would be outs as well as 4 10's....... If this is the case why would he think AK would be out, does he think i have called with J9, Q9 etc??

Did he make the right call or not?? Cheers

The Tim Blake/ Albert Sapiano hand was a corker

Tim made it 300 in MP at 50-100 with 10-10

Next to him Matthew May flat called with 8-8

Albert in the big blind called, it was ever thus, with A-x

flop A-10-8

Albert bet out, Tim flat-called and Matthew raised.

Albert called the raise and Tim, thinking he had Matthew, re-raised.

Matthew passed, quite a pass, and Albert stacked off

Here is Tim. Apparently I am to make no comments along the lines of him "needing two seats" so I won't

What a pass.......

Thanks for the response's lads......

Mondatoo, not worried about the 35 or 78, im just been nitty and exploring all avenues.......

So i think my question was answered, try + get the money in on the flop or turn........ Just wanted to see if i was thinkin on the right lines.

Anyway he pop's me all in, i can't fold for another £25+ so i call, im thinking im up against a set for sure.

He pop's over  . WOW, even i fold to the re-raise here on the flop in his position + im Aggressive.

Obviously the  came on the Turn + River to give him the higher 2 pair, but nevermind.......

WP and UL.

BTW..never ever fold AA here when you're in his position in a live game unless you have a nice read on someone...you're ahead more often than not.

Its up for discussion wether to fold AA in his position, i personlly would've done. Whenever i got to showdown i had only real strength and hadnt made any bluffs previously, he said he thought i had a set, but couldnt take the risk so he called. Marginal call i think and very tricky play pre-flop by just checking.

But nevertheless, he got max value out of his AA in the wierdest way possible.
