Dave Welch of late night poker fame?

Sadly its not that Dave Welch. I know D W (LNP one) quite well and when I saw the name at the end of day one with lots of chips I txted him to say GL.

But he sent one back saying he's not in it. Just a namesake.

Dave (the original) was the winner of the first ever European Main Event at the Aviation in 1998. Great player and one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Great job as usual Kev.

Off out now, I'll be home before close of play tonight to see how it's progressing.

He doesn't play at DTD very often but has done well there on the few occasions he has.
