Fantastic value at the Golden Nugget. They have various tourneys on each day - Horse, stud, omaha etc. but they also have a Holdem every day at noon which is $135.  You get 12,500 chips and a 40 min clock. Great structure - the best I have found at that sort of buyin and LOTS and LOTS of VERY BAD PLAYERS! Even I feel like Phil Ivey -and I am no expert!

Can't recommend them highly enough! They charge a lot of juice, but the field is SO SOFT...

Good luck

what's the juice mate?

Of the $135 entry, $25 goes to the house and $10 to the dealers!! So only $100 goes in the prize pool... But all over Vegas, the tourneys are hammered by these sort of charges - check the small print...

We are slumming it at the Imperial Palace for 10 days, then off to The Wynn for some luxury. Yes Michelle... Am playing some of the ladies' events so should see you next week. James isn't with me at the mo Flushy, he is catching up on sleep, so can I take your phone number or email address? Then James can sort it with you.

Thanks x

Hi

It's Lynne Beaumont (and James Browning). We finally flew in last night (Wednesday) and I just wondered if anyone had already done the slog of finding out where the best place is to exchange some pounds for dollars?

Is Flushy still selling dollars??

It's over 100 degrees here already... Phew. Life is tough...

 Cool Cool

Thanks for all your ideas and comments.  Have tried logmein and it works, but not the most user friendly - and you need a magnifying glass obviously!

Hi Lynne, nice to see you on blonde.

I'm sure I remember sitting at a table with James and watching him play poker on his phone.

Hi Tom

Thanks for your message...  Yes, James did play on Aces Royal.  They only had cash games, and went bust some time ago.  I really want to be able to play on the iPoker network via William Hill as that is where I get a good deal, but it seems to be unlikely that I am going to be able to play on my phone in the near future very easily, judging by the feedback from people on the forum.

Are you going to Blackpool?  How have you been doing this year?  See you soon.

Oh and forget about iPhone...Apple don't allow direct gambling...so there won't be any apps

You can play on any site with an Iphone or Ipad providing you have a home computer.

Software called ITeleport (other software available too), connects to your desktop (Mac or PC), as it runs via your home computer your not accessing a gambling site etc so no problems with firewalls/filters etc, great for playing a table of cash or another tourney when your playing live esp if you get free wifi at your local casino Cheesy

Wouldn't bother with the Iphone version tho will be too small IMHO to use properly (bet sizing would be nightmare). Ipad works great tho Smiley

Thanks for that Gary.  Am trying to get this sorted for Monday - coz want to play the Blackpool £200, and have qualified for a supersat online for the GUKPT Grand Final at about 9pm!

Of course if I get knocked out of the live event VERY early, it won't be a problem!

I thought the casinos might be a bit slow to catch on if I was usiing a phone, whereas to sit there with a laptop or iPad on my lap is a bit obvious...  And will obviously p... them off!

im sure mobile phone have to be switched off while you are in a hand!!

Don't be a spoilsport!  If I'm not talking on it, does that count??

Ahhhhh, Lynne!  Hiya Chicka and welcome again to the madhouse.  Haven't seen you since my old days at the BFLT.

The link posted earlier is where we've anything android related and Rush seems to be the only option atm, but it's not even official yet.  If and when other options come up, the Lads will more than likely add them to that thread.

Hi!  Thanks for your message - am playing the last Betfred Ladies on Saturday at the Western in London - are you going?  Then hope to get to some of GUKPT in Blackpool next week.  Are you going to the Western?  I must admit, they are not my favourite tourneys.  Think I'll give them a miss next year.

Hope to see you again soon...

I sure wasn't,however I might've misread your point which I thought was phone's are for calling and laptops are for playing pokers.

Of course I play on my laptop - and of course spend some time and effort to qualify online for good supersatellites, to find out that they run on the only day of the week that the local casino has a live tourney worth playing!!! If I thought I could get away with taking my laptop into the casino to play the satellite at the same time - I would!!  But don't think the casino would be very helpful!!

My name is Lynne Beaumont, by the way - James Browning's partner...  And yes, thanks for the welcome!

I was just trying and failing to wind Greekstein up Lynne, welcome to Blonde. We played together at the epic failure that was the gukpt summer series a couple of times,I spoke to you on break about 24 tabling grinding and I was the one defending Blonde's cliqueness over the Blatch situation Smiley still playing the live circuit much ?

As for your question I have a phone that belongs in Beamish so can't really help you there.

Hi there!  James and I have had a very quiet year...  We have been doing our house up, in Whitley Bay, ready to sell.  It took about 8 months, so we haven't been to any festivals this year.  James has been playing cash in Newcastle to keep us both fed and watered.  The house is under offer - which when it goes through (God willing), means we will be moving further south and will be playing the poker scene again next year.  Hope to go to Blackpool though next week, so may see you there?

Thanks for your help
