Steve Smith referring to it being a decision taken by the "leadership group" rather than front it up himself as captain is pretty lily-livered imo.
It is also pretty sinister that they recruited a young player to do some of the dirty work - shades of Mohamed Amir.
+1 to this. I feel for Bancroft a bit, yes he could of said no I am not going to do that but he is new in the test team and it would of been hard for him to say no to Smith and the 'leadership group'. How many of us at his age and standing in the team would of said no skip I am not doing that?

Shocking that isn't it to be fair borthwick was picked a bowler at the time, nobody has nailed the batting places available to me root should be batting at 3. I am a Yorkshireman and a huge Root fan and I also think he should bat at 3, I know he prefers to bat at 4 but the best thing for the team has to be him coming in at number 3.

The final along with the whole tournament showed again that 20/20 is great entertainment, I had friends who think/thought cricket is the most boring sport going who loved yesterday's final.
For me as a huge cricket fan nothing beats the first morning of a test match, but I do love the excitement and innovation of 20/20.
Also how good is Joe Root? Does it in all 3 formats of the game, think he has every chance of going on to be England's most complete batsmen ever if he isn't already very close to that already. I am a Yorkshireman so my view on Joe might be slightly biased.

Make no mistake about the context of some isolated corner instructions, Senior was only calculating how to stop Blackwell. If he thought the ref would stop it on head shots his instructions would of been to keep throwing head shots.
He was saying go to the body as in you can drop him and force a stoppage with body shots cus it doesn't look like the ref is going to stop this.
I agree with this. Snr was telling Jnr to attack the body from the early stages of the fight not only when he was starting to hurt him. On another note it is disappointing to see that the link up with Booth never worked out although hardly surprising given the egos involved. I think it will cause Jnr real problems as he steps up in class, as seen in the Billy Joe fight he needed clearer information and instructions between rounds that he just will not get with his dad wanting to take over.

Alli impresses me more and more with each time I see him play, in this system Roy likes to play it is him or Barkley , Ithink Barkley could have an important role coming off the bench this summer though.
forwards wise I think Rooney and Kane are 100% going if fit, I think Welbeck will almost certainly go as well if fit, he has done well for Roy in the past and again fits in to this system that Roy likes. Then I think it will be 1 from sturridge and Vardy.

Stokes can and has been already a match winning player for England, he can take 5 for in a burst or score 80 or 90 in a session. Woakes I just can not see doing this at international level. He is a neat and tidy bowler and solid with the bat but doesn't have that extra to change a game in my opinion.

If I have to drive I won't touch a drop, it's the what if I did have an accident and caused someone injury or worse after having a drink then getting behind the wheel that stops me. Even if it was 1 drink I would always be thinking would it have made a difference.
