The 5b fold of AK is bad, it was a similar situation on WSOP final table when Merson opened button Jesse Slyvia 3b QJ from sb and Koroknai cold 4b KQ in BB, Merson 5b, Slyvia folded and Koroknai 6b shoved. Merson SNAP called! And that was wsop main with 6 left. Merson and Koroknai were 2nd and 3rd in chips with over 80bbs each.

I would like inform you of a recent development relating to a situation involving Vincent Price and myself Neil Ryder.  On the Friday 26th June preceding the £500 Summer Series main event me and Vinny agreed to put in half the buy in (£275) for a 50/50 share of the prize money and he would play the event.  On the day of the tournament we both put in £275 at the cash desk at Walsall and again agreed to 50/50.  Unfortunately as in many cases involving big tournament wins Vinny has not upheld his share of the agreement. He now only wants to give me £4000 of the £16000 he won and saying that is fair, which of course it isn't as it completely contradicts the agreement we had. He gave me £2500 on the day and further payments totalling £650 and said he would transfer the rest to my account when the cheque cleared, of course this hasn't happened!!!!!!!!!  I've been arguing with him all day about this with him saying I should be happy with what I have got.  I have even tried to be reasonable and said i'll take £6000 which isn't even 40% as I believe he deserved a premium for playing the tournament and winning it but he is keeping what is 'rightfully his'.

I think it's right to let everybody in the poker community know about this type of betrayal.  It's unfortunate that such a brilliant performance from him will be tarnished in this way but I guess seeing the £££££ makes people forget about what really got them there.  If you would like to discuss this further then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Neil Ryder

Congrats to my man Vinny, his first big tourney win.  I railed him through the entire comp. He played near perfect poker throughout the tourney and final table. His stack was only at risk twice, once when he had his 88 hold v AK late on day 1 and the other with A5 v A3 heads up. . He didn't put any big chips in pots when we was a big underdog apart from a hand heads up when had 1010 v KK which pretty much plays itself to double up Toby. He was never all in with the worst hand and didn't get lucky in any big pots, apart from if you can say winning a few races is lucky.  He steadily increased his stack picking up pots and making moves in the correct spots.  Hopefully he will take down another tourney soon to prove that this isn't a one off and his game is more than good enough to win similar tournaments.
