I'm just completely shocked that 2 days after Barny's rail, something like this could even happen, really shown the best and worst of the UK community in space of the matter of days.

Vamps is one of the hardest working players I know, doubt he's owed anyone a penny for longer than a week and doubt he's negatively affected any of these people's lives before, yet he's being treated like the biggest POS ever.

At least his rail is full of people that unanimously are supporting him because they want to see him do well, for most of the people speaking ill of him, their rail would probably consist more of people waiting in line to get paid.

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

  36,630  games     0.001 secs    36,630,000  games/sec

Board:
Dead:

Hand 0:    53.593%     51.04%    02.55%             18696          935.00   { 7c6c }

I'd say this stove is pretty far off, here's what I have:

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

  26,730  games     0.001 secs    26,730,000  games/sec

Board:
Dead:

   equity    win    tie          pots won    pots tied
Hand 0:    37.123%     34.06%    03.06%              9105          818.00   { 7c6c }
Hand 1:    62.877%     59.82%    03.06%             15989          818.00   { 99-66, T8s+, 97s+, 86s+, 76s }

allofit is pretty nitty in my experience and i'm fairly certain he 3 bet/calls off JJ+ vs the fish opener at least, most of time TT too and 99 he probs mixes it up

so 37% equity just vs him, you need 40% for a call when its just vs him, then with the fish maybe getting it in to that makes things even moreeeeee complicated I can't be bothered to do exact calcs but it's something like 30% I imagine you need (although there's a 18k side pot)

even trying to be incredibly optimistic and overdoing his range just to show how bad it is, you get this:

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

 126,720  games     0.001 secs   126,720,000  games/sec

Board:
Dead:

   equity    win    tie          pots won    pots tied
Hand 0:    53.155%     51.46%    01.70%             65210         2148.00   { 7c6c }
Hand 1:    46.845%     45.15%    01.70%             57214         2148.00   { 66+, A9s-A8s, K9s-K8s, K6s, Q9s-Q8s, J9s-J8s, T8s+, 97s+, 86s+, 76s, T8o+, 97o+, 87o }

and 3 way:

   equity    win    tie          pots won    pots tied
Hand 0:    31.036%     29.55%    01.48%            910031        45632.50   { 7c6c }
Hand 1:    40.413%     36.49%    03.93%           1123508       120886.00   { TT-66, T8s+, 97s+, 86s+, 76s }
Hand 2:    28.552%     25.30%    03.25%            779184        99988.50   { 66+, A9s-A8s, K9s-K8s, K6s, Q9s-Q8s, J9s-J8s, T8s+, 97s+, 86s+, 76s, T8o+, 97o+, 87o }

so 31% at absolute best 3 way, factoring in its the WCOOP main event and there's an absolute ton of soft spots and a sick structure, i'd say it's a pretty easy fold

surprised it's taken this long... know a few people who he owes so wish them luck in getting it off him, after last time when he stole a load from eames/pez and co, you can be fairly certain you'll be waiting a while

5  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: $2/4 Shallow PLO table. What do you do on river? on: July 28, 2010, 01:51:23 PM
I do think you have to bet the flop just because he's folding a ton and there are quite a few nice barrel cards on turn, as played I like the turn call

as played you have to ship the river I think but it's really close, I mean he's never snap betting river that big for value (weak flushes he's more likely to c/c with, medium to strong flushes he's just gonna bet smaller most of time I imagine), it's what % of time he folds any flush/straights that matter, and I think it's going to be enough with which you can get away with jamming

Cheers Middy.

Good post imo.

Do you ever see any merit in calling?

I don't see why he'd snap bet $90 on that river with a hand that has me beat when I've called in position and have the .

Just couldn't understand why he'd turn a made hand like even the nut straight into a bluff there.

hmmm, I mean a lot of his hands are bluffs but I'm just scared that he could be bluffing with better and just mashing his head against the pot button for no reason

anything but folding is fine!

I don't see how with such a tight shoving range we can ever win these comps, it's def mass exploitable if ppl are playing so snug on the bubble.

This is wonderful for those like me who like to accumulate on the bubble to build a stack for the ft.

I don't think shoving a7 is a consideration obv, i presume you suggested this as i mentioned on occasion shipping any pp and a10+ on occassion on a snug table, tbh i'd need it to be rock city from utg with this range, a7 wld just be ridic aggro.

You seriously overestimate how much winning this hand matters and how little cashing in tournaments like these matter, there's still 300 people left and finishing just ITM and finishing like 50th makes absolutely no difference, therefore it's important you cash and then it's all about accumulation.

I'd understand if it was a reasonable +cEV play but the fact is it's not even that and sure most of the time you shove everyone folds, you go from 11k to 13k, hardly going to change the situation, I mean like, you'll probs be ITM next hand, and then you'll be on SB/BTN 1st 2 hands after getting in, I'm fairly certain thats a way better spot than here.

I think AQ/99+ is the absolute bottom of shoving and I don't even mind just opening in this spot with most of these hands and raise/call

Jamming very quickly. If everyone else wants to tighten their calling ranges on the bubble thats cool, we'lll just take the blinds.

We should be looking for spots to exploit the bubble rather than try to limp into a mincash imo.

"explotiing the bubble" doesn't mean engaging in ICM suicide, this is a snap fold

To whom it may concern,
This perverted scheister was resting his head on the table so that his eyes were level with the cards being dealt. It was in Brighton in the main event somewhere in the last 15 players. The guy should have been locked in the putrid Rendezvous urinal for the night.

I'm not sure if this is being directed at me, but I did make the last 15 (brag) and spent the end of day 2 with my head on the table. I was beyond exhausted due to jetlag and even the stars blog posts during the last few hours of day 2 noticed how much I was struggling.

Playing full time and claiming dole is a pretty scummy thing to do imo. If the £80/week makes a significant difference to your income, you aren't making enough money to be playing poker full time

Pretty much this
