91  Poker Forums / Online Tournament Staking / Re: WCOOP Series @ NO MU ($2k Main + $1k 8max) *SHORT NOTICE* SOLD OUT on: December 24, 2013, 06:48:56 PM
What a great thread with some cool HH. The k8 hand with 8 high board merged my head. Would be nice  to hear your thoughts on each street.

Keep on heatering.

Basically what it came down to was the fact that my hand was never good after he bet the river that small after raising turn, the best hand he can have is a small / medium flush and various over pairs with a diamond which checks back the flop, whereas I can have all the houses / quads / better flushes. I felt the villain in the hand was competent and would be good enough to fold all the flushes he had (Meh if he has nut flush - but I don't think this checks back flop) as well over pairs. I assume he folded a bad flush as he tanked river pretty hard.
Yes. I was thinking you can only make that move if you rate your opponent. Absolutely fkn great hand. Last night I read it pissed and was thinking from the other players pov I find a call in his spot with the range you gave him above. Now I am not so sure which would normally result in a fold.

Very nice.

There must be a huge behind the scenes story to this English touring side. It's a fkn joke.

Never have I seen such a sorry state of professional sportsmen and so called management. These Aussies will want to totally cream us 5 zip remember.

It's just all shitty Sky Sports filthy money killing another sport really when you think about it. Imagine playing the Ryder Cup 3 months after you just won it?

But I for one will be waking from a slumber on the sofa or bed on Christmas Night to listen to the Boxing Day test first session from that massive ground. I hope we win the toss and walk out, heads held high, and come back in at lunch 68-1.

I could be Herbie but I always wake up the next day with 3/4 of a great post still on my screen, read it back and delete.

I just can't see a downside to antes for anybody really. Strategy wise I don't think anyone on here will disagree that they will give better players an edge. Correct? I think so.

Also once week players with their mates for a night out or the old boys in every night will mind. They now have something to do every hand. More fun. More interaction with people. That's why they have come out to play.

Even the players who will bet 425 in greens are giving you a tell.

Our local has just put them in and it's much better. No one moans at all as far as I heard. I won't vote as I don't play these at DTD.

Christmas Day trivial pursuit family game.

I read from card: "in which film did Kirk Douglas star as a slave turned gladiator"?

My Mrs replies: "Asparagus".

Remember that feeling when you scooped your first ever massive live pot and the dealer heaves a mound of lovely chips at you? I do. It was great.

Antes pretty much ensure lots of chips on the table which means more FUN. Yeehaa.

Celery is a very nice nibble with a good cheese.

Blonde can be a lovely place for PHA.

As always I am posting pissed.

I do sometimes think you all take things a bit personally sometimes though people. It is the funniest forum ever, and I read loads of stuff online. I don't know why but I kind of feel it's all falling apart?

Basically any kind of shite gets dumped on Blonde. That thread the other day had f all to with anyone really and caused a big row. This is a poker forum first and sports betting second.

Sometimes not posting your opinions, especially with such an emotional topic, is best. Otherwise you are all leaving yourselves open to being used as a craigslist of shite heads.

Is that your opinion? :-)
Yep.

This forum was used for the sole purpose of shit stirring. And you all fell for it, except Camel who tried to make this point and got poo poo-ed.

Poo poo-ed sounds better than it appears in text, like many things.
