I promise u huiii is not in anyway a tight reg, he is one of the more absurdly aggro regs, or at least he was a few months back.
right, i mean iirc he runs summat like 13/11/4 over like 1k hands lolsample etc

I flat pre also fwiw.
why is flat > 3b pre iyo? i used to just flat like adl here a couple of months ago

I think were being way too arrogant /  lazy in assuming he always has 88-qq and AK / AQ when he cold calls the 3bet here in position when stacks are so deep. Ive seen huiii show up with stuff like 89s and KQs in these spots.
I think arrogant is the wrong word, flawed logic/opinions maybe but certainly not arrogant

Think would c/f vs shove but dnt think id ever find myself folding vs that sizing.
results?
likewise I couldn't fold vs that size, chop it up

he just seems to take off whenever possible from what I have seen, but ive never used a HUD in my life so whatever.
Yh maybe arrogant is the wrong word, I just mean we shouldn't be so set on a perceived range vs good players when stacks are deeper. FWIW, I love peeling 78s or similar from huiiii's perspective here, especially if other regs will instantly assign us a decently strong range pretty quickly.
Could debate for a while back and forth about flatting > < 3betting pre in these spot, but tbh doubt it would be too interesting :-)

Also, the discussion on how absurd huiii is or isn't, is kinda irrelevant in this spot, as on the river he has 0 bluffs obv, gona be a chop sometimes, MAYBE he value betting worse sometimes. I actually think given his sizing, ur not beat THAT often. I find it intriguing when people say "c/f 100%" in a spot like this. I don't know if it was mentioned but I guess u have the best possible hand u can have in this spot which makes a c/f even more tilt

I play it the same as you, he has AJ in his value range and not a huge amount of bluffs

strongly disagree. Would be really surprised if villain had AJ

would call river vs  sizing, ESPECIALLY vs a fish.

yh tried regging a comp, and the site logged me out lol.
They likely to have issues for next 24 hours id imagine. Software cant be any worse tho, so anything is an improvement. Only ipoker software is worse than party's old software imo.
And yh can imagine there suffering with traffic because they charge like 2.5% on deposits and withdrawls

Fold pre.

Fold now. Imo bet folding 30% of our stack vs a guy who has a range that is never ever folding is a mistake.

NEVER folding pre here.

are u even in the top 100 of the uk pocket fives bro?

haha, seems a while ago that I was number 1 now

FWIW, last year, WCG was at my starting table in wsop main. He arrived slightly late looking somewhat flustered, drinking coffee. The conversation between him and a guy to his left soon got onto the issue of online poker, the DOJ etc etc, and WCG was quite proudly telling the table that he had won $30k that morning vs a "reg fish" playing 50/100 and this was why he was a little late. Someone questioned how he managed that, and he said something along the lines of "well I didn't go to Canada and back". So im sure it doesn't bother him that people know he is playing stars from the US.
@redarmi, I disagree with you somewhat. Although not on the same scale as what this josh guy has allegedly done, IF WCG is playing from the US then he is in clear violation of the sites policies and im sure he would be banned if stars found out. Our feelings about the law on online poker in the US are irrelevant imo.

Sounds like you have strong opinions about this and about integrity in the game. Where do you stand on the issue of multi accounting by playing on someone elses Stars account. Should people be banned for this too?

Ah yh nice comment I see what u did there, cos im currently banned on stars right, (although not in ANYWAY because of multi accounting).
And Id hardly say I had strong opinions lol, was just a brief encounter with the victim.

WCG Grinder seems to do some serious back peddling...

Several weekends later, Josh asked if he could spend the weekend at my house on his trip to Vegas.

The rest of my roommates also play online poker for a living. A few days after Joshua left, one of them lost something to the tune of 13 buyins to a 1 tabling fish, playing the same style.

During these losses, we were also undergoing some internet stability issues at my house.

The question...why are you playing pokerstars in Vegas went unanswered for sometime, until it is similarly broached again later by someone else...

WCG eventually replies...

At no point in this story did i play a hand of poker on pokerstars while being in Las Vegas.

BULL$HIT!

Pokerstars should be looking into this guy too IMO

I'm sure the Feds would be interested...

30  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Main event fml spot vs Jake Cody on: July 09, 2013, 02:56:47 PM
This Jake Cody kid seems v talented. Absolutely disgusting spot. everything seems shit, every option is a level. Probably let him have this one, seen as the table is so good. Maybe jam it in his eye later with J2 or something

9 handed u jammed his raised with suited gapper in the MC n get there on the river . FT u jammed into Rastafish with J2o n didn't get there . All that happened infront of Jake . He's taking note and I think his notes computer is working at that time . Just fold n wait for better spot . U r a clever kid .

3betting is truly woeful if were folding to jakes 4b in such a GREAT spot for him imo. If he has a blocker in his hand, especially Ax, I actually expect him to 4bet with a decent frequency in a spot like ths, given that it likely has the affect of making u want to fold the bottom of ur value range (QQ and AK).
All this talk of main event edges etc is really exaggerated imo. Yes, its  really great tourney, yes its only once a year, yes we may find "better spots", but what exactly constitutes as a better spot in a NLHE mtt? I fully expect us to be getting someone to 4bet fold for like 20bb and not having to show our hand down, seems like a pretty good spot to me. Yes, id rather have top set vs 2nd set in a 3bet pot, but its not always possible, plus we might just be against pleno and he will just fold a set np :-)
Obviously FML spot If the guy wasn't jake, and was a guy from the south, drinking JD, aged over 50, wearing a cowboy hat.
Despite the above, I think peeling pre is still best given stacks, positions and also the fact were suited and were going mult-way.
