Def agree with flatting initially re honeybadger's logic:

"Given your overall gameplan, I'd definitely flat preflop rather than 3bet. Your hand plays very well multiway with the NFD possibility, and also it is great to have a deceptively strong hand when OOP vs a very good player. You are often going to flop a top of the range bluff catcher which is going to be really easy to play because you will beat much of his value range as well as his bluffs on many run-outs (a result of not 3betting is that you keep all dominated Ax and Kx hands in the pot). And if the hand gets to showdown it shows villain that you are giving him plenty of respect, sort of like implicitly saying "leave me alone and I'll leave you alone... let's just take it in turns to get the easier money". And finally, if you ever do get heads up in a pot with him (esp OOP) he always has to be worried about you having a stronger than usual range, which will prevent him fucking with you too much."

But once it's played out as it has, surely this is a shoving or folding spot? I'll let the better plays decide but just hate flatting/min raising further given stack sizes. Given it's the ME and perceived edge then folding can never be too bad here.

Jakes value range giving action and sizing is probably AA and KK, with the blockers we have, id be jamming.

Wouldn't of 3bet pre, think its a good spot to just peel. Keep in dominated Ax, dominated Kx and also dominated heart flush draws  ( the later part hasn't been spoken about ITT I don't think, but is something that allows us to win a big pot).
As played would gg

34  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: What do you think of my adventurous plan? on: July 02, 2013, 01:41:20 AM
Yh like it, small turn sizing tho imo as at least sometimes he will c/r when he has AA, feeling the need to do so to win stacks.
35  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Spew more? on: June 19, 2013, 01:24:10 AM
I definitely don't mind this since you're the only person who can have a flush really, although I think a much better line is bet small ott and overbet jam river since I would expect him to check back the turn a certain % of the time.

This works really well against fish as they call the turn with way too wide a range (any 1 pair hand, gutshots etc), a range that isnt able to call a river overbet. Also when they have a super strong hand they feel the need to raise ur small turn bet so the line works a high % of the time.
36  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Early in Bigger 109 turned TPTK against two winning UK grinders on: June 18, 2013, 03:21:53 AM

Agree my range is capped to 1 pair and Franky is absolutely capable of abusing that fact. We also chatted about a really similar spot in person very recently so I was really torn between thinking 'he's 20 tabling here, just fold' and 'we spoke about this spot two weeks ago and he's doing exactly what he said he'd do with lots of different hands vs a capped range'

Aghhhhh

yh obv hand takes new dynamic when u have the above to factor in.

I know u fold TPTK tho, so gimme the 86hh again and ill take off :-)
37  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Early in Bigger 109 turned TPTK against two winning UK grinders on: June 18, 2013, 12:01:03 AM
doesnt seem that close. fold.

This is a really lazy, arrogant and some what rude post imo. I say this as Your contribution on PHA over the past 18 months is probably second to none, but just to say it aint close and to fold is defo lazy, not that constructive and can most certainly be viewed as arrogant (i know u dont mean it this way obv).

I think your right in a vaccum that we can / should probably just fold to matt's c/r, but as jamie said, matt is defo good enuff to have bluffs here (the majority of these bluffs do obviously have a ton of equity though). It definately is a grosser spot against a decent player / capable hand reader than it would be vs a fish (can comfortably bet/fold the turn against a 3way c/r from a fish imo). We probably have the top of our somewhat capped range which makes it even more annoying to bet/fold but i think (however much i wouldnt LOVE it) we probably just have to fold to his c/r with checktrap11 behind.
It hasnt been mentioned yet so think its worth saying, utg+1 at a 9 handed table, small antes, i dont mind just folding AJo, im a massive nit tho :-)

hey man gl with this, sick to try and grind every day, altho i think its def +ev to have a pool day, or just some chill time.
Also, just curious (this is in no way trying to start a debate or open a can of worms), but u said last night when selling for the super tuesday u would be only sellin at 1.0 from now on (for the foreseeable future). Does that only apply for online mtt's then? Just curious as this is @1.2 if i read correctly. I may just be missing something as havnt read through everything.
fwiw, def looks a decent package, glgl

Yeh I wrote that apart from Vegas in the blog. I accidentally sold st 0.9 last night in the ST. It was for one off tournament a mainly. It is still quite a bit loader than all the other Vegas packages on here and even if the package has a negative roi it gives a chance for the main at 1.2 which would be the lowest sold on here this year. I think the price is fine and had around 50% extra on a reserve list so the market seems to think so too.

Thanks for well wishes everybody.  As trigg said when I bust early I will have plenty time to chill.

And I mean it's not that many days right? If for whatever reason I feel tired or want to chill out then sure I'll do it but that's not the intention. I also absolutely hate sitting by the pool, being on a beach etc. if I want to chill then I find nothing more relaxing than riffling some chips! Haha

yh the price is def good value just curious about comments etc.

Yh i always played big volume myself so def understand u wanting to grind everyday.

What do people think of this:

Blonde has 10 people that see staking applications first. These would be well respected blondes that know a lot about staking. Off the top of my head I would suggest: Keys, Rupert, Camel, Simon Galloway (captain!), Flushy, Trigg, MC, Dubai, AndrewT and LilDave.

Before a staking request can be put up, it should be sent to these guys in a pm. They must agree to not discuss it amongst each other and they send back what they think a fair rate would be to someone like Tighty. The average of the first 5 responses back is the rate that their staking package can go up at.

Like it or lump it.

Dont see how it can ever be completely fair tho imo. How can the people you listed (or anyone for that matter) know what rate is "fair" unless they have played extensively with the person putting up the proposal and also have played the schedule / tourny the person is selling for. I understand this is why you said use the average rate but this can also be distorted based on who pm's  back quickest. Also (something that is pretty important and something that makes your idea completely impractical) everyone has "favourites" (even mods) and people they like more than others so i dont see how ANYONE could give a completely unbiased view of a staking proposal.
Also what happens if a mod, or a person listed above tries to put up a package?

For example; player A wants to sell 50% for a $1050 comp in january which is part of a deepstack series at venetian. The player has say 500 posts, is semi well known to some on blonde and is a winning player online, but has no live results (due to lack of volume or whatever). His proposal has him selling at 1.25, and his main selling point is that vegas is soft and he is a winning player online. Player A isnt actually known to 4 members of the 10 you listed and them 4 happen to message back first saying 1.1 is a fair price.
Yet player B who has been on a massive losing run online, maybe stretching over 18 months (maybe variance, lack of volume, games caught up with his/her level of ability), wants to sell for the same torny at 1.25, yet because he is good friends with maybe 5 of the 10 listed and at least knows 4 of the other 5, his 1.25 is agreed upon.

Like some have said, it is just sometimes the case that selling at 1.3+ is a fair price and still means the buyer IS getting value. It will also be the case that somebody selling at 1.1 may indeed not be a good buy in the particular torny they are selling for BUT because there popular on blonde / have alot of friends on the site they will instantly sell out for a £300 comp at DTD.

I have sold action on blonde before (many times) and bought action on blonde (small amount of times) and however simple it may sound, if people wasnt happy with what i was proposing, they can obviously just click off the page, the same as if i saw a really bad value package / proposal, i wouldnt buy.
The problem with mod's choosing wich packages are ok and which arent, is that its going to be so hard for people to be completely unbiased on a site such as blonde when there is obviously a community feel to it.
The people talking about buying and selling as "favors" because people are "under it" or need a break is obviously fine and a good aspect of blonde, but on the same hand it shouldnt mean that people who are selling packages with a mark up arent value or are indeed doing something wrong.
This thread is good because there is NO right or wrong answer and just about every post has had some merit.

he will be charging me 2% if nobody else binks in the next week, come on boys!

i dont know him at all and havent had previous dealings with him. Can understand it tbh, just prefer someone im close with to win in next few days,

Irrelevant.

Unless he actively dislikes you charging vig after he's won all that is the tightest thing I have heard in ages.

Only good thing about it is: I've got a new player to funk against Smiley

readonyou is a german reg, uber spewy.

There is a goturead and a gotyouread. One of them is a 180man grinder, and the other is REALLY GOOD imo, plays 5/10 - 10/20 HU, and flicks in the high stakes mtt stuff on sundays / wcoop / scoop. Pretty sure he is dutch.
44  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Poker Coaches? on: June 03, 2013, 02:46:50 AM
EchoEllis, incase you didnt get the information you wanted, basically this:

Railtard1 (Marc Wright) is a v v good coach from what I've heard. Hes also one of the top UK pro's. Marc has had some problems fairly recently (you can find the full thread on here).

TL900 (Tom Langley) is also an excellent player, who voices his thought processes very well. He has a video up for Pokerstrategy, if you're interested in asking Tom, I'd advise you find and watch this first, as it will give you more of an insight into him as a coach.

Stato_1 (Andrew Hulme) is absolutely tearing up the online scene atm. Personally have learnt an absolute ton from this absolute ton of a man. I have no idea if he wants to coach though.

As people have said, do a bit of research. There will be plenty of people online that are v good coaches, but the way they explain things may not suit you. Its all about how you learn best.

Have done coaching on and off for maybe 2 years, have never had a single complaint / had someone that wasnt happy by the end of our partnership (or at least they havnt said so).
Yeh have a thread on blonde which was commented on recently, but the thread was about a dispute over a swapped % that was made in early 2012, so wasnt actually a recent issue, and also it has no bearing on my ability to coach anyone imo.
As for my "poker CV", i have won every comp with a buyin $22 or greater on pokerstars on there normal schedule (week days and weekends), including $100r 7 times, 320 6max 3 times, 265ko maybe 4 times and big 109 and big 162 3 or 4 times each. I have won 2 SCOOP events, finalled 2 WCOOP events, won the super tuesday and finalled it on an additional 5 occasions aswell. Live isnt as good tho but ive finalled an EPT from the 3 i have played and have chopped a GUKPT also. Think im maybe top 5 biggest winners in the UK in past 3 years online. I was number 1 on pocket fives in the UK toward the end of 2012.
As for the other 2 players mentioned, i think its really unfair for you to mention my thread on blonde, but not to mention tl900's thread on blonde, as his is more recent, and more relevant. I dont know much about toms game though, i know he is a small winner on stars, but have no idea of his stats and results elsewhere.
As for stato, he has broken into the top 10 in the UK now imo. Really clever, calculated mtt player who changes gears really well and doesnt level himself like some mtt players do, so definately think about him as an option if he is doing coaching now (dont know if he is, just saw someone mentioned him ITT).

Gl with whatever u decide, my advice would be against using online video's tho as they wont do anything specific for you. When looking for a coach you need to find someone who can help with your specific needs. Also make sure your time is used well, i.e make sure you prepare everything before the session starts as obtaining hand histories / loading to a replayer / downloading teamviewer are all things that can take up a decent amount of the time you are paying for.

It's been deleted?

For why?

I don't think I criticised Marc Wright in that thread.
