Hello guys and girls!! Please forgive the rant but I know a lot of poker players also like to sports bet so I wanted to warn you all about
William Hill.
The sports betting is a total joke regarding support or any kind of help with any issues and im going to give you some examples below to show you what i mean.
I bet quite heavy on the football on tv, and one night i decided to bet over 11 corners in a match which was on tv, there were 12 corners in total so my bet won but Hills paid it as a loser!! So i get on live chat and speak to 4 different people who are all meant to be managers.I'm told that there were only 11 corners and its a losing bet. I then start to question myself so i get on 2 other very well known betting sites and asked them for the total corner count. I was sent actual times of the corners and the amount (12) which i then fowarded to hills support. I called in to see what happened and when i got through I spoke to a woman manager who said tough chit - its a loser and we dont care what other sites pay as we follow our info...i went a little mad at her attitude and she cut me off.
I contacted ibas who regulate betting and sort out disputes for the punters..they said they would deal with this for me and just to leave it for now, meantime i got on live chat and told them what happened and they did not seem to care, i requested a call from a real manager and 2 weeks pass by with nothing. Finally ibas contact me and tell me im going to get paid because they got hold of hills and sent them proof (recording of the game)
I got no apology from hills and countless times I've had winning bets settled as losers and its took me hours on the phone being passed around to different people as there is no manager who acttually works there to help - its all custmer service people who are not trained or have the authority to make payments or corrections.
Another issue i have with them is i bet in running and take a price in running, one day i outlayed £4k on a game for over 12 corners at 10-11...there was like 19 corners and i won only to find it was settled at 1-4...when i rang in they said they made a mistake and market was wrong....i said if it was wrong why did you not email me or call me to inform me of this as there was only 10 mins gone in the game...if it lost i would have been told nothing and lost my money, Again their rules ... cant do nothing.
Another day i put on some football bets but had to go out so never saw the results, i come home and see all bets were losers so left it as that, then a few days later get on a other site and saw i had money in the acount, i check why i have a large amount in there and it turned out one of my bets come in, so i went bck to hill statement to see one of my bets did actaully did win, but was paid as a loser....i did contact them and they did pay me quickly but what happens if i never checked?? they said the mistake would of been seen and paid but how can i believethat, which makes me think how many bets in past have i won and not been paid for.
I bet 3x doubles in a game...i bet home team to get over 6 corners and same team on points peformanace at 2 diff prices...from 41-50 points and over 50 points which was like 7-1 and 14-1...my thinking is if they get the corners one of the others will make double up...it come in and AGAIN paid as loser...same thing speak to severall diff people taking 3 hours and then finally im told you can't bet doubles in the same game!!! thats why its a loser despite it coming in....so why take the bet i asked?? get palmed off and said they would give me a refund on stake.
The last example im going to give is last week i was betting on football in running when i noticed hills made a mistake, they had 5 corners on in play betting which was wrong as there was 6...because i bet on the game i got straight on live chat and told them their error, and asked for them to void my bet as if it comes in I would not get paid anyway (happened before) the bet actually lost but the bet was not made void...again lose my money. This was meant to be sorted out on Saturday ie. refund but it's now Monday and I'm being ignored and guess what?
Still no refund!!
This is how they treat someone who bets over 500K in four months - so if you're looking for a poor service, littered with mistakes and no managers who work there then that's the place to be.
