You can watch the race on the above link using your skypoker login.  You'll need excellent resolution on your monitor to see Bingo.

And you need to watch it from the start.

Has he finished yet?

3 runs for a handicap....

Does that one qualify as a run?

He got given the 'honour' of a number of lengths rather than "distance" at least!

Hello all,

As an emotionless barsteward I thought I would drop in to add my two cents on the multiples point.

Some time ago I posted explaining the relative merits of betting doubles/trebles etc. where one has an edge. Broadly this seems to have been accepted and exploited by thread, but in recent instances where a mispricing is as a result of an offer, rather than perceived/calculated edges we are becoming gun shy.

If I toss a coin it's even money each of two. Heads or tails for the double is 3/1. Looking for a treble is 7/1. It really is that simple.

To echo what Mark is saying, either these established markets are efficiently priced (like the coin toss above) or they are not. If the pricing were only 'fair' there is no utility in deploying capital. If the enhanced offers do not offer value then BY DEFINITION the singles on the other side must do so.

A monkey with a stick punting with a clear strategy to exploit only divergences from the established markets would turn a profit. Give the monkey 10/1 about the coin toss treble and he is printing. 9/2 about the double he is printing. It's just maths.

Backing a horse at 5/2 that should be 2/1 makes money. Backing a coin toss at 11/8 that should be Evens makes money. Backing arbboy to chirp in these spots at any price makes money.

It's just maths, guys, and there is zero reason not to take the edge.

Your fans were EPL standard that night though.  Diff class all night.  Made Stoke's look like Prawn sandwich munchers.

Father was in a box CHOMPING prawn sandwiches

those of you out there try, if the weather improves, to spend a couple of hours on the beach at uhmlanga rocks, about a 15 minute drive down the coast from durban

the waves are fantastic, as is the setting.

Unfortunately we have no car here and I wouldn't be surprised to see the test go 5 days. If we do get a spare day will definitely take the tip, thanks.

Thought Taylor and Compton were very good yesterday, a case of substance over style. Think both should have been in the side earlier/ stayed in the side, they give the batting order some solidity we have enough to accelerate the pace later on.

Oh and the beer is about a pound pint in the ground and tickets are about 4 quid for a full day's play different world to back home.

Haha, Love hove yu still manage to find the value Smiley
Hope the weather is better for you today

Longy - if you do make it to Umhlanga then the Oyster Box should be your restaurant of choice. Uber available so don't sweat not having a car.

Weather-wise does anyone know if its worth getting my hungover fat arse out of bed at 8 bells?

(Thin brag incoming)

Raining here at the moment (just up the road) but forecast to clear up in time for the start going by Accuweather.

131  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: How many pints before you drive home this Xmas? on: December 03, 2015, 10:21:33 PM
3 units is the drink drive limit. One unit is a 25ml measure of 40% spirit, ie. 10mls of alcohol. If you have a 564ml pint of Stella/similar at 5.2% you're basically on the limit.

Metabolism of alcohol is at 1 unit per hour.

At the risk of serious egg on face I would have thought the above is 'common sense', and clearly demonstrates if you *must* have a drink before driving you'd better make sure it's only one.

The argument over different metabolic rates is true in theory, but knowing one's own rate is nigh on impossible and I'll be bollocksed if I'm going to find out by trial and error.

Drink-driving is a remarkably stupid, disrespectful, dangerous and short-sighted option.

I've never been the most active poster but it's rare that a day passes where I don't 'check in'.

In terms of what Blonde has done for me....

- Provide a place to talk about a game few of my real life friends (in before) have any interest in.

- Be the first stepping stone in meeting a number of now friendly faces on my occasional foray to a card room.

- Fill many, many hours of commuting time / general boredom / time I really should be spending on other things.

- Provide a really insightful sports betting thread.

- Offered me the platform to stake Doobs and win some new wardrobes / miscellaneous spend by self/wife.

Great place Smiley
