Do you think the increased buy-in for the 0.5/1 game has had an effect on the 1/2 game? I would imagine moderately fishy regs from the 1/2 who felt the 0.5/1 was too small when you could buy-in for £100 (and not straddle) have now moved back down now they can play deeper.
Yes that's definitely happened unfortunately. I can think of one who assures me he has done this recently... I'm at dtd for the next deepstack so that should at least inject a bit of fresh losing liquidity into the pool.

Have you never done driving lessons ? Am sure you can get lifts off others but would obv be handy to drive being a live pro.
true, am tanking getting a car, passed test 5 years ago. would like a little bink first ideally cos i wanna get a nice one. What car do you want? As a car hater, I'm fairly sure I'm gonna rip your answer, but I'm curious. i really dont know anything about cars. I want something smart and sophisticated, looks sexy and go fast. not a sports car, more like a bmw or audi. will i get flamed for that?! More by the insurance company than anyone else.

I'm fairly confident in my read that he (a) doesn't give a fcuk and (b) enjoys the competitive spirit of the whole affair.
Besides, my Skype sessions on table selection continue this week. Put those 9bags in a treasure chest, chain it shut, chuck it to the bottom of the ocean. The only way Mitch can get it then is if he's muthafckin Jacques Cousteau.

I think disaffectation is common in any job where the difference between sums dealt with and sums paid as remuneration is great.
Add volatile hours to the mix along with the fact that many dealers (often correctly) believe they could perform the role of the chap on the other side of the baize better than he is currently.....
.....and you get yourself a situation where frustration, often terminal, is rife.

Really enjoyed the 2/5 game last night. Lineup was, Keys, Ian Gascoigne, Mitch, Ash (new blood that I don't think will come back cos Mitch was so mean to him after taking his money), stato, me, Mark Doherty, Neil Giblin, Keith.
Good to see my father has been taking note of my lectures on table selection pause not. I'll buy you dinner next time you're up if you cancel all future lectures. Time elapsed between threat to educate Ian on table selection further and offer of counter incentive/bribe = 1min 32 seconds. Average response time by London ambulances to immediately life-threatening emergency calls = 8mins Very interesting.

Doesn't this just fall over when there isn't enough liquidity in the betfair markets. Either that or you end up skewing the market so much with your £50k bet that the odds you take are bound to be terrible?
Largely accurate, though not quite perfectly so. Essentially as the bet size grows you become increasingly limited in the choice of markets you can 'efficiently' bet into. Short priced Premier League teams, heavy favourites in the tennis etc. will be fine, though anything rather more niche and as Doobs says you will be heavily eroding your EV. All of which said, the very best of luck to you Eso Kral. A truly absorbing diary.
