Growing up in Donny I went to work in a local spar aged 14, for a few hours on an evening twice a week after school. Two of the lads who worked there were Donny fans, prior to this I was an armchair Spurs fan, mainly down to Glen Hoddle and the third kit a purple number that was bought for me by relatives on birthdays. Within a week of working in the shop, the lads asked if i was going to join them at a Tuesday night game at home to Walsall (I am not sure if Eso had tipped them to go up/down or mid table this year but it was a minimum of a combination of all three!!). I think they had started the season well and we had won our first 4 games, they had a chap up front called Stuart Rimmer (maybe the right name, may have forgotten it) who had scored 5 in 4 and it was going to be a belter. The 'Pop Side' was buzzing and nothing beats the taste of a night game under lights, we won 2 nil and I was hooked. On the Saturday we travelled to York on the train, now this was a whole new world, travelling to new places with friends, I was now in deep. So deep that in the following 25 years there have been more tears than good times, apart from the clubs who have gone into liquidation I would see our journey as the most turbulent. Playing Barnet at home on a Weds afternoon in front of 600 because we could not afford to pay for the floodlights, the chairman trying to burn the ground down, losing 9 nil away at Exeter after fielding a 15 year old keeper who's headteacher had to give him permission to play, dropping out of the football league with the lowest ever points total..... however, living the bad times, made the good times taste so sweet.

Hey Kral, nice write up on Malta. A few years ago I went and played a few matches of cricket over in Malta. At the time they only had a few teams and as such if you played you were almost in the national team. There was an 80 year on the field who had played for the Maltese cricket team not long before we played his local team. That's not the reason for the post, I blooming loved the draganorra (sp), did you venture in? If so do they still have a horse racing machine directly outside the poker room where you can perm tricasts for fun, it is like an upgrade donkey derby but amazing fun and quite addictive (not for reformed degens  Wink). We also did a days clean up at the Pietra Military Cemetery and giving up just a few hours in respect for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice is a humbling experience. Peace Bettsy.

Week 5 fail, have been working anti social hours so I was forced to do day 1 in work. Came up short in number and also the lads laughed at my technique. To do 100 in a oner I don't expect to have great form but I was still subject to 'are they just head bobbers'. The form in the you tube clip is awful, although the bloke starts with the hands underneath the shoulders and this IMO is a lot tougher than the wide arm 'bobbers'. I did mange 50 decent'ish press ups in the exhaustion test with scope of doing another 10 or so as I was not on the limit, but I guess it's start week 5 again next week for me.

Week 4, day 3 column 3 done and dusted. One trick I am using is breaking the big numbers into and 10s, trick the brain into thinking its not 40 in one go, its just 4 x 10s, this works for me.

Week 4, day 2, column 3. Just ouch.

25-29-25-25-max 36. I managed 26-30-26-26-36, with the last few reps on the last set stalling at the top. Had a tough day with other phys and my form was downright filthy on the last set. In addition, I was really out of breath following the last set and I rate my cv better than my minuscule muscles.

Keep up the good work all and keep posting!

Suppsosed to do 21-25-21-21-max32.

Managed 22-26-22-22-max32, last push was a little ropey, no it was awful but with a few extra in the early sets I took it. I have reached a plateau and feel its going to get tougher from here.

Moving onto week 4 today, after having completed week 3, column 3 on two separate occasions and the last being last week. This looks a tough week, posting should provide the platform I need. As for form, it will not be 100%, but lets get physical..

Jake looked as if he had previous and showed form, Frankie and Kevin are going to go far, the rugby playing model with everything going for him had a tick in the hips but I kept an eye on my boy Steve Irvin or whatever he's called and he has some skills. Enough dead wood for the audience to get to know the cheeky chappy, by which stage his price is and we have made green.
