Has this kid put in a decent performance for Arsenal yet?

Rooney was destroying world class Premiership defenders at his age.

Walcott's bang in trouble, really struggling.

He looks so unsure of himself on the pitch; tucks himself away out wide and looks lost when he moves in or gets hold of the ball.

For such a prodigious talent to be playing so tentatively at an age where he should be playing with a confident exuberance he's making it so difficult for himself to secure a regular first team place and get the games, experiance and most importantly the confidence that he so badly needs.

he'll be playing at Fulham or Villa in a couple of seasons, they'll get about £3m for him.

Similar thing has happen at Spurs with Routledge. Maybe he isn't as good as the manager first thought?

I believe that Walcott needs time, he isn't an established 1st team player, he is a squad player, although his fee is of an established first team-player Wink.

Also, him going to the world cup and not getting a game, and then not being first choice at Arsenal has effected his confidence.

I can see him being loaned out next season...

I think he's not too bad, but like Nem says, he's lacking confidence.  There's many times he's running in on goal and always looks to cross it in rather than shoot and then usually puts to much power into the cross and kicks it too hard.

He is very quick though and hopefully in a season or so he'll be a great player.

I thought he had a pretty good game today giving Baines (a good PL defender) a tough time.

I dont think it's fair to compare him to Rooney who was built like a 25 yr old man at 17.

Give him time, he'll be class.

What he needs is games, confidence and little bit of weight.
