only saw the manics once, and it was a bizarre setup - 1997 at the height of oasismania I was in boston with tickets for the oasis gig, bought on the day of the gig (this was the same year they sold a zillion tickets at knebworth.

anyway, oasis were good, but the first band on were the manics, and they only played 4-5 songs. but they were freakin awesome. The crowd was basically made up of expats, and the next support act came on, some dreadful thrash metal outfit (obviosuly for the american kids), they started getting booed and all sorts of stuff thrown at them, they lasted about 20 minutes.
