Just throwing it out there in the hope that someone ran into the same experience as I am at the moment.

I will be booking a car for myself for my wedding in LV this sept 14/9-21/9 then again for 10 days in Orlando 25/9 - 10/4 .

Just a compact or economy car is fine for me.

However whichever company I goto book for I am paying more in insurance then I am for the actual rental is there anyway of getting around this? Has anyone run into this in the past??

Im open to ideas the lowest I can find at the moment is about $700 for the lot which imo is too much Sad

Have you tried getting a female (your new wife) as the main driver and just add yourself on?  We had the same problem last time I was home (9 years ago) and in the end I had to be the one to do all the driving or we were paying 3 times as much.

Hi there.

I used holidayautos.co.uk when I was under 25 and went to the States. I found them pretty good as their total price seemed to be just that, pretty much the price you'll pay (depending on whether you want any extras). Unfortunately Damage Waiver is pretty much a necessity in the States and just be wary of any 'young driver' daily charges...these can mount up and can sometimes be £15 per day! I had a quick peek on that website for you though and your 7 day stay in Vegas came out at about £120 or so. Good luck!

I've always used www.airlinenetwork.co.uk when going to Vegas as they've usually been a bit cheaper than elsewhere.  The rentals are usually done via Dollar.

Just checked there and there's a $25 local charge per day for under 25s, which is probably par for the course.
