I've been playing poker for a while now (still a learner compared to lots on here I know) and have had the usual poker related ups and downs. I've heard lots of stories of the chip 'n' chair variety and always thought Nah! can't be done that often surely (ok it's probably not that often just everyone knows of at least one they can relate).
Well guess what!! here's mine.
Was playing a small 30 seater sit 'n' go on Blonde earlier tonight and due to a bad read 88's against KK was down to 150 chips with the blinds at 60 and me in the big blind (so down to 90chips effectively) from where I proceeded by a mixture of a bit of luck and some semi-reasonable play (even if I do say so myself

) to get right back in it.
I was Chip leader when heads-up and so despite losing a couple of races I did come a very satisfying second - it wasn't a big win or anything but I think I got more pleasure from the fight back than if I'd won having fantastic hands all the way through.
So just maybe there is something in this chip 'n' a chair that isn't just an old wives tale lol.
