I dont find that all kinds of poker makes great TV. I aint seen the one everyones referring to but it sounds pretty boring.
The Matchroom tournaments (The Poker Million & The 888.com UK Open) I find to be quite repetitive, predictable and some of the play in them is shocking from the online qualifiers/amateurs. The nature of the structure, and how it's designed for TV, makes it all seem a bit too manufactured. I'd much rather watch a WSOP final table on PokerTube than a 6 handed all-in fest.
However, High Stakes Poker is the benchmark format for me. They've got two great commentators in AJ Benza and
Gabe Kaplan, and the players deliver some quality banter.
