Tiger Woods Is on fire just now and I have been lucky enough to back him on his last 3 starts.

In each of Tigers last 3 wins  Dubai, WGC matchplay, and the Arnold Palmer he has pulled a win out of the bag when he was all but dead and buried at some stage.

His form is so hot just now he is trading at close to even money. With this in mind I plan to lay Tiger  at the start with a view to trading out as his price drifts.

I also feel that this event (WGC Championship) has a much tougher field than last weeks event with Ernie Els, K J Choi, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson all turning up.

Tiger has a very good chance to win this but does his best work at the business end of the tournament and a shaky start will allow his price to drift.

If Tiger gets off to a flyer I can close out the bet at probably 1.6 for a managable loss.

Sticking my neck out here.....but going with my gut feel....

He is in unbelievable form at the moment if not for a 2nd he got 8 tournaments ago he'd now be on 10 in a row thats crazy he is definitly amongst the best to ever step foot on a golf course.Good luck to him with effort comes reward even though he was already at the top level he totally changed his swing to improve his game even further and at the moment he's untouchable.Top man.

laddies were doing a bet b4 start of season for tiger to beat jack nicholas' major record in 2009 at 66/1 to one. it seems to be removed now.  it would mean he would have to win 6 out of the next 8.  tough job, but if anyone can do it..

Going into the final round: Geoff Ogilvy -16, Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen, Adam Scott, Vijay Singh and Graeme Storm -12, Anders Hansen and Tiger Woods -11.

William Hill's prices: Ogilvy 8/11, Woods 7/2, Singh 8/1, Scott 10/1, Furyk 12/1, Goosen 14/1, Storm 25/1, Hansen 100/1

I don't know whether to be more surprised by the odds on Tiger Woods or Anders Hansen.

Yes I wont deny I have been sweating this One big time.

I took the view after 36 holes there was little point in trading out and taking a loss on the chin but instead ran the position and hoped for the best.

Traded most of Tiger today at 6.0 so if he does win it will be for a small loss.

Geoff Ogilvy and Adam scott are both playing exceptionally well especially in the presence of Woods which nobody else can seem to manage.

Its not over yet though but I think Ogilvey would have to put 2 balls in the water to lose it . Always a chance of that on this course.

I think that there's a fair chance of Ogilvy choking if there's any pressure applied.

Although the 40/1 Tiger is surprisingly unappealing.....

I must say that to be fair Ogilvy did look rock solid even under some pressure at the death, and for that I apologise to all of his kinfolk that I may have insulted including his illigitimate offspring who may have taken offense Wink

The thought that he might choke was not totally based on air as he did win his only major by managing to get the two guys leading him(and finishing behind him) to double bogey the last hole..
