1st Walk this Sunday

Start Time: 10am
Start Place: TBD, but likely to be Finsbury Park, North London
Destination: Metropole Hotel, Edgware Rd
Route: We'll make that up as we go, but likely to pass through Camden Town matrket, the Regent Canal and Regents Park, before ending up at the Hilton Metropole, where the EPT is taking place.

It will be no more than 5 miles in total and with regular watering stops along the way and always at a gentle pace, should take no more than 3 hours. Its a great way to discover places and streets in London that you would otherwise never see.

Anyone interested?

good idea!  I'd have been up for it, but have my daughter this weekend and it'll be a bit much for her to bring her along.  definitely up for future walks though - it shames me sometimes that I've lived in this city all my life but still haven't seen most of it.

Nothing wrong with a bit of bustle... we will be passing through there at about 11am and its not too bad by then.

I walked everywhere when I lived in London (and indeed everywhere else I've lived) - it is true - that is the best way to properly find out about any town

I am trying to think of a back route from Finsbury Park to Camden that can be done in an hour. You must be a fast walker or I am verry slooow! Though my husband says it could be done in an hour so perhaps I should try it one day but I am too lazy!

I would actually have been interested in this but glastonbury tickets go on sale at 9 that morning so it's a no go for me

you should definitely put a trip to the top of primrose hill on the route
