Baffles me why they wanted him in the first place

Should never of hired him in the first place, after Berg being an awful choice aswell.  Don't think I've witnessed worse football than under Berg, then Appleton arrived.

Saying that, sacking both has turned club into a bigger joke than they already were and any chance of a manager with any cred will stay miles away.  No idea who they can get for next season.

The fans who were calling for Keans firing when we were sat 3rd must be feeling pretty silly now.

They just seem to be punting on young managers for no rhyme or reason

I think the common theme is they don't have a clue.  The leaked email at the end of last season summed it up, full of good sound reasoning and logic, and it was completely ignored.  Then the person who sent it was fired.
